The beginners bushcraft one. Its more solid in the hand and heavier. Its the one I use.

Depends on how much you use them. As you've never used one before,you could always get two and use one to practice on but even then it'll probably last a good few years.
If you're like me, you'll eventually lose the striker but if you have a carbon steel knife,that wont be a problem and using a knife instead makes more sense as you'll probably have the knife to hand anyway as you're preparing the fire.
