A young, amnesiac alien girl known only as Princess Ai is mysteriously transported to Tokyo, Japan. With only a heart-shaped box to clue her in on her past, Ai makes her living as a rock star at Club Cupid. She falls in love with a sensitive musician, Kent, to the chagrin of Kent's gay, possessive roommate, Hikaru. But Hikaru is the least of Ai's worries when gun-toting talent agents and demons seeking to take control of Ai's homeland, Ai Land, are hot on her trail.

So, young princess Ai winds up on Earth alone & without a clue. a young & obviously homosexual (come on, he's living with his boyfriend), librarian/musician named Kent takes her in. He's no-doubt, a thinly veiled Kurt Cobain.

Ai gets a job at a nightclub as a singer, one things leads to another and a music company scouts her. They share the plan:

Uh, the music exec kind-of just blatantly implied the death of Kurt Cobain was an elaborate plot. Considering how casually they brought up killing the new star....it seems as if they've done it before.

Anyway, the music industry manufactures her into the perfect pop princess, and her celebrity grows...

Anyway, now that Princess Ai is famous, her good friend Kent is sought out and programmed, 'cause he knows too much/can get in the way. They change him from Ai's gay best friend into her boyfriend.
