We get 0.5mm of snow and the country goes to pot......the most laughable thing about it is that all the NEWS programmes build it up to near "Disaster" levels.Barmy!!

Gotta love the snow man. The snow and the 'disaster levels' news broadcasts got me a day off work today. :D
Can't possibly risk a 30mile car journey in this weather eh?

I hate snow, it's horrible I hope i never see another snowflake for the rest of my life.
I love snow, but what a farce. One snowflake & they start panicking.
" Over 1000 schools closed!" its reported. Why? Make 'em walk, I say! Abandon the 'school run' & leave the bloody cars at home, & make the kids use their legs for a change. One of the reasons I moved up here to Cumbria was to get away from the debacle of not being able to get outside my own front gate in the morning due to volume of traffic containing kids on their way to school.
Its the nanny state in this country. Years ago we had REAL winters. People got on with it, transport got on with it & it was 'business as usual' for most of the country.
Now? I think its that good 'ole 'fear factor' machinery at work again; If its not rampaging muslims threatening to behead all & sundry, its the harmful snowflake (aahhh, what beauty in nature!) smothering us all; "even the meteorologists are worried" I heard on the radio yesterday.
I ask you!

I wish we had snow in Adelaide (Australia).
We (are supposed to) get days off work/school when it's too hot.
I hope the earth changes flip things around so that we get snow, instead of this retarded heat.

Fancy swapping places mate?...i think half of the UK would change places with you at the moment,not because of the weather in general.Also cos its a crap place to live!..no wonder people are leaving the UK in droves.Cant remember whether its a thousand a week or a thousand a month.
I heard that over 10,000 people emigrated to the mediterranean last year. Wish I was among them

Canada would be my 1st choice......yes,holland has snow,the country's a bit flat though.you could move to scotland or wales for guaranteed snow.
