I bought from ats bullion and baird&co or just use ebay.
Personally I think silver is the best buy, buy a kilo bar for just 400
http://www.goldline.co.uk
2009 Britannia 1 oz - BRAND NEW £ 751.25
Krugerrand 1oz - LIMITED STOCK! £ 748.00
price is getting very steep, im done buying started at 445 with first coin so its been a good deal so far would of started at 200 if I had money back then.

So are a lot of people, that's the whole problem. :(
As danster says, gold is starting to get out of reach. Silver is much easier to get hold of and having lots of small value coins may be more practical anyway.
IMO it's people with significant savings who should be getting gold at today's prices to protect themselves against the collapse.
If you don't have big savings or a high income, then personally I would be stockpiling food and commodities you could trade (including commodities such as tobacco as well as small amounts of precious metals).

Hi nirvana,
I don't think they have a counter as they are a internet based company that ship from a warehouse......if you have a bank account you could transfer the money from your bank to their's after you place your order online.....

try emailing people selling gold on ebay asking how much for cash as then they dont have as many ebay/paypall fees.
bettsmetals in birmingham sell over the counter for cash at %8 above the spot price.
or get a cheap flight to gibraltar. on the main drag there is a jewlers with a fine collection of bullion that charge 6.5% and take cash plus fags and booze are much cheaper.

Hi danster82,
Buy Price: = is the price CoinInvestDirect would buy from you if you were selling
Netto Price: = is the price with no tax added. Gold has no tax added when we buy so both the Netto Price: & the Brutto Price: for Gold are the same.......We pay tax when we buy Silver so the Brutto Price: for Silver is the price we pay with the Tax added.......I hope this helps :)
