Cops can search your home in secret
04, 2009 12:34pm
COPS are getting special powers to search a property WITHOUT telling the owner for up to three years.
NSW is to be the first state to introduce covert search warrants.
They will be issued through the Supreme Court and limited to investigations of suspected serious offences punishable by at least seven years jail.
These offences include the manufacture of drugs, computer crimes, the sale of firearms, homicide and kidnapping.
Premier Nathan Rees said the warrants would be borrowing from commonwealth anti-terrorism legislation.
"If you are a serious criminal in NSW you should not sleep easy,'' Mr Rees said.
"These laws will enable our police force to inspect your home without you knowing."
The new powers will allow for the owners of the covertly searched property to be kept in the dark for up to six months.
However police may apply before the court to delay that notification for 18 months, and up to three years in some exceptional circumstances.

I heard about this story,
But i dont think it will change much as the Police in OZ already use dubious tactics to look inside propertys when they get a tip off or suspicious...
Except for maybe the dumbest or most naive offenders that leave things unattended at critical times...
No warrant, no problems, the usual trick is to send in undercover officers anyway, OR in special cases certain repeat underage offenders who are forced or given ultimatum to help police in exchange for suspended sentences , and they ALWAYS all pose as home invaders, drug crop raiders or burglars incase they happen to be seen or caught...
So even if you or someone (neighbour) calls the cops and you had nothing illegal going on it may appear they are hauled away legitimately as a tresspasser/burglar, but it gets sorted out later no consequences...
However this rarely happens as most times they dont get caught as they use intelligence and surveillance to make sure house is empty...
THEN...get the warrant if they see what they needed to see as they know that its a sure thing..no fu!@ups, red faces and media/PR problems for the policy department...
Anyone who is anyone knows that their properties must be occupied by at least one person at any given time to keep watch and deter cops and informers who attempt to "sneek a peek" without a warrant, if they are engaging in what is deemed by TPTB to be illegal activity at that property...
For example one well known underworld identity statement to one of the evening TV shows (Today Tonight) when approached by journalists and cameras at a cafe...
He spoke a message to the police that was aired on TV and was something along the lines of..."Next time i leave my house and you pull roof tiles and break in without a warrant, at least put the man-hole cover (ceiling) back properly"
I was PMSL.

Sneaky!
I don't get why they'd wait 18 months - 3 yrs to notify you that they'd snooped inside your house (& presumably found nothing incriminating, else you'd bloody know about it sooner). Just seems sort of cowardly.

I guess they dont want to tip you off that they are "onto" you...so you keep doing what you do and maybe slip up down the track...so they hold out as long as possible.
But again most know that if you are engaging in activities that the government doesnt want you to engage in, that chances are they are already onto you...and precautions are taken...
I would guess that the major reason for these laws is drugs, and specifically the production of amphetamines (meth labs) ... people are going nuts with the stuff and the police are having trouble keeping up...too spontaneous and portable can be created and then packed up almost anywhere...
Nasty drug yes, but with the material and unbalance of wealth distribution society TPTB have created...can you blame them...many of these people know about TPTB and what they are about...you wont find many or any sheeple bikies or underworld meth cookers...they know what the commonwealth is about ;) who the policy officers REALLY work for (most of the time the policy officers dont know themselves) and are the competition.
Remember we are a nation partly comprised of criminal background AND those with remnants of roman empire still in their blood...
That is why TPTB together with their media are also fighting a PR battle to make bikers look nasty to sheeple...they are the only ones it seems that know what TPTB are and take matters into their own hands somewhat...
We have meth lab anarchy beginning to happen in Australia, and from what i have researched, in the USA also due to rural decline...which will get worse as so called droughts and other factors knock more people down over there too...apparently the USA has super meth labes popping up in isolated places where there are no policy officers...
Then add to that the South Americans who also for the most part know what the war on drug (control) really is about and all the shit that is going down there...
TPTB have a big drug battle on their hands and need all the help from legislation they can get, hence these laws and others like it.

This makes me really angry. The police in the U.K. might be given such powers soon, too.
An article was posted here about it some time back.
Anyone can suspect anyone of anything, then use it as an excuse to have a snoop. In the U.K. they propose to allow the police to acquire samples of DNA from cups, toothbrushes, combs during such a trespass.
It's utterly outrageous.
The police basically have carte blanche to plant evidence in your home. You will not have a clue how to defend yourself when they later stage a raid and "discover" said incriminating evidence.Total nightmare.

I can imagine people will be planning all sorts of traps and nasty surprises just in case someone sneaks though their house. ;)
The thing is, the police are nosey, you see them on these programmes, looking in drawers, rooting about, not looking for anything, just rooting out of nosiness. And don't think that they will do this for serious criminals either, the paedos, the major drug importers, it will probably be unpaid parking fines or those suspected of letting their dog dump on the pavement.

This is true. Any form of "subversive" behaviour, such as, say being of the DI forum, or speaking up about civil liberties now earns us the label "terrorist", so we'll all be fair game.

Yep. We'd better start getting dobermans.
Cops and intruders hate dogs.
They bite and they bark (obviously).
A good dog will smell an intruder and hear a pin drop at night before they have even jumped your fence, then bark like f!@king mad.
Many people breaking the so called "laws" keep rotties and dobermans for this reason only.
And hidden cameras + motion sensors are cheaper than ever with hours of digital recording at your disposal, easy to find on ebay.
It has become like that sideshow game where you smack down the shark that pops up...they smack one player down and another pops up out of nowhere and it keeps going and going.
While the general sheeple are probably more asleep than ever, the underworld here are more awake than ever.
So the policy officers dont always have it easy.

Why is everything tested on Australia and the UK before it's brought to the U.S.?
I just feel sorry for AUS and UK citizens... must be really tiresome being the guinea pig of the NWO.

I can tell you they did not sneek a peek in my home, but it did not stop them from "kicking" in the door (they had a warrant with address only) early hrs of the morning, point a gun towards my head and ask, "where are the drugs". They walked away empty handed and red faced. What are my rights?

Because it used to be a penal colony. Southern parts of the US (Georgia) were used for that purpose before the revolution. They use those parts for testing sometimes as well. Maybe they still view them as inmates.

Yes, but you'll probably be full of holes. The fuckers move very quickly, the ones who charged in had flak jackets, no name badges and guns drawn, this I thought to be amusing minutes after they had us in cuffs and told us they where there for drugs. Soon after they started searching they realised one of 2 things (1) someone sold them a lie or (2) they got the incorrect address. I'm seeking legal compensation.

It will be easily done, on the search warrant it has, search for: drug of dependence, evidence of trafficking. A policeman signed an affidavit to obtain search warrant. I know for 100% fact they have NO evidence.

If you have a load of wires across your floors, hallways , say attached to bells or sensors, which are not visible, that will keep them busy until you come back. You may be arrested for a bomb threat but provided you can make your case that it was just sensors to detect burglars you should be OK and at the same time their cover is then blown, all their cards are on the table.

Steel doors only work in conjunction with steel window bars, solid brick walls and a barricaded roof cavity.
If you dont have these the fuzz will pull roof tiles or tin and come in through the ceiling, or sledgehammer holes in the walls.
Hence anti-fortification laws in South Australia...but if you fortify from the inside behind dummy blinds they cant see it...but again they are always telling sheeps to ring crimestoppers if their neighbour doesnt open the blinds...
That only leaves fortified underground rooms/cellars dug out or shipping containers buried under the house or shed where no one knows it exists while everything looks nice and sheeple for the neighbours on the surface who have speed dial to 1800 333 000 crimestoppers...thats one way of how its done and another reason why the policy officers will never win the meth battle.
Sorry to hear the cops did this to you, but it could have been worse for you if it was people other than cops looking for drugs on a bad tip-off, much much worse. Bashed, pistol whipped across the face and teeth pulled worse, especially if they were convinced you had em (drugs) and you werent handing over...
this activity is some peoples full time job and can be a good little money earner with suprisingly litle consequence...drug raids...acting on intelligence received from others...just like cops but without the commonwealth backing...and the only chance of them EVER going to jail if this is the only activity they engage in...is if they are setup or raid someone with no drugs who is not involved, and calls cops...for the most part dealers wont ring the cops to tell them they are dealers and that their stash was stolen by another thug who knocked on the door with a 9 and pistol whipped them, so they take it like a b!otch and move on.

My first impression was "home invaders" as I was woken from sleep, therefore drowsey, I was about to charge (run towards) the fuckers but they moved so damn quick, lucky for me eh?
After my first thought that they were home invaders in another split 100th of a second I thought, what the frog do they want, there's nothing to take.
