Family members of the founder of the Islamic Revolution and the Chairman of the Expediency Council are reportedly injured in a car accident.
A car carrying Chairman of the Expediency Council's Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's wife and his daughter along with the founder of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Rouhollah Khomeini's daughter-in-law has slipped off the road and crashed in Samarra on Tuesday, eyewitnesses told Press TV's correspondent in Baghdad.
According to Hashemi Rafsanjani's son, those involved in the accident suffered minor injuries and have been fully treated after the crash.
The family members were accompanying Hashemi-Rafsanjani who was on an official visit to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
