I was walking through the park today in sydney. Walking past a structure I've never taken any notice of before. Walking past for the first time since waking up from a 33 year sleep.

I looked at the building and thought, hmmm. that looks abit like a flying saucer and a bit masonic.

I walked in and had a look, its called Federation Pavillion. Like stone henge it is surrounded by bigger circles. about 20 yars out there a path in a circle around it then about 50 yards out thes a circle of lights / lamps.

Inside its got stone and iron plaques stating the dates 1st Jan 1901 and more stuff layed on 1 Jan 2001. both celebrating the dates Australia was officially declared a six state british empire extension.

for those into numbers etc, 1st jan 100 years apart - 1/1/1901 - 1/1/2001

It also has massive stone 12 pillars around it.

The biggest weird thing about it.......... (drum roll)

In huge lettering around the top of the building reads :

MAMMON OR MILLENIUM EDEN

What the fuck is MAMMON, and why is it there.

Its freaky man!

During the Middle Ages, Mammon was commonly personified as the demon of avarice, richness and injustice. Thus Peter Lombard (II, dist. 6) says, "Riches are called by the name of a devil, namely Mammon, for Mammon is the name of a devil, by which name riches are called according to the Syrian tongue." Piers Plowman also regards Mammon as a deity. Nicholas de Lyra (commenting on the passage in Luke) says: "Mammon est nomen daemonis" (Mammon is the name of a demon).

Mammon is a word used in the Bible to describe riches, avarice, and worldly gain. It is personified as a false god in the New Testament. Often, mammon is regarded as material wealth and thought to have an evil influence.

hhmmmm.....

I looked up Millenium Eden and found this: http://www.stonehenge.ukf.net/edenarts.htm

You were right about the Stone Henge part by the looks.

4. The climax of the festival will be to dedicate a large standing stone of local granite (weighing about 30 tonnes and 12-15 feet high) near the henge but outside it. The stone will be carved with three large simple symbols and the date "2000". These symbols will:

1. look backwards to Creation and the builders of the henge: ALPHA
2. commemorate the central event that defines Christianity: THE CROSS
3. look forwards to the infinite future: OMEGA

Mammon is also referenced in the movie Constantine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constantine_(film)):

John uncovers a plot by Mammon, the son of Satan, to betray his father and claim dominion over Earth

so basically, it has:
*some kind of connection with stone henge or similar.
*something to do with wealth through evil means.
*connection to a demon from bible times
*officially a monument of Australia's ties with the monarch.

The ceiling tiles have, on one side, what looks like a light\color spectrum display and on the other side what looks like a sun and a very strange looking man that looks like his head is way too small and has some of the rays of the sun going into his head. Pretty weird. And there just happen to be 12 rays coming from it!
