Space rock gives Earth a close shave
An asteroid of a similar size to a rock that exploded above Siberia in 1908 with the force of a thousand atomic bombs whizzed close past Earth on Monday, astronomers said on Tuesday.

The gap was just 72,000 kilometers (44,750 miles), or a fifth of the distance between Earth and the Moon
 Nice.
Someone mentioned in another thread that NASA signed an agreement not to release 'warnings' of imminent impacts or 'near misses' etc. to the general public...
So in the event that one of these is headed for direct impact there will be no mass evacuations or anything like that... we will need to watch the movement of the government and high level government employees. The moment they all mysteriously disappear we will have an idea that something is up.

They're setting their stage for the final event of incoming objects that will be not asteroids but probably nuclear weapons that will force people to relocate in the big population centers that are officially listed as safe.

*Chuckle...
That was such a great warning.
Here's the edited version just incase one actually does hit the wicket.

They'll probably employ lookalikes or use pre-recorded footage say of "live" proceedings in parliament, put the royal flag on Buckingham Palace or some other means to try to fool people. They won't be successful though and wherever they go, after any disaster it is everyone's duty to rip those people to shreds wherever they settle.
Edit, the PM is in the US, funny that he was "snubbed," maybe not perpared for him. These meteors sometimes travel in swarms, more than just a single one. Maybe a head count of the ruling classes is in order.

Just wondering if it had hit Earth if any passports might have miraculously appeared in the debris :)
