It emerged earlier that actress Wendy Richard sent a message of encouragement to Goody shortly before she succumbed to cancer aged 65.

Wendy Richard's sent Goody a word of encouragement and then Wendy Richards dropped dead.
That's the last thing which would encourage me.

I don't know, perhaps Richards had found true acceptance and wanted to help Jade find it too. I think when you have cancer words of encouragement probably mean more from someone who has gone through what you have.
