Hey!

I thought I'd give my review of this film as I'm sure others would like to add too it.

***Warning contains some spoilers***

Ok, so I'll start off with the Covernant; an ancient vampire bloodline that rules and controls the human race through fear. A hierarchical structure, with its own political council and head elder Victor. Elders being true blood vampires with the divine right to sit on the council and rule. Superior in spiritual intellect, physical strengh and have a sinister, ruthless streak to them driven towards survival of their "master" race. A group of people that drink human blood to survive either from a cup or fresh from a victims neck...

I think they are symbolic of the elite ruling bloodline from the Sumerian age however you want to interpret that. Present day terminology would be the Illuminati of course. Starting with the vampire "elders", I view them as full-blooded royal Draco's that are head of the hierarchical structure of reptilians. As well as the half-breed vampires that have been bitten by a full-blood are in my view symbolic of hyprid reptilians. The vampires have an obsession with genetics to keep their ruling bloodline constant. Also the rules of the covernant play a big part of their lives as well as the odd ritual sacrifice (Victors daughter Sonja is ritually sacrificed; burnt alive by daylight, Masonic hollywood throwing in a little sun-worship perhaps with that scene.) As you will see in the film their eyes also shift to a blue colour and can pop out their fangs at will.

See below for some reptilian style imagery.

Now the Lycans (werewolves) stemming from Lucian the first born Lycan possesing a strengh and focus that others didnt. A race of part human, part werewolf possesing the ability to shapeshift between forms. Supposedly genectically engineered by Victor because the werewolves were a highly vicious and infectious breed never again able to take human form. A quote from the film... "Victor creates a new race of immortals... Lycans...part werewolf, part human, enslaved to guard them in the daylight..."

There are a few ways you could interpret the Lycans. But my understanding after watchin the film is that they are probably symbolic of one of the first genetically engineered races either from the Annunaki/ Reptilians; this race im referring to is Homo-erectus. A race devised to be slaves to the gods, but this just didnt work as they were far too aggressive to be subservient as the film portrays. The only issue that is left open is Lycans shapeshifting. Could Homo-erectus shapeshift from gorilla to humanoid? If so that would tie the story into a neat little knot.

But as far as both species goes, the Lycans and Vampires - they both draw parallels with the Reptilians... I do believe the makers of this film have intetionally mixed things up in order to confuse the aware...

This film is riddled with freemasonic symbolism, as freemasonary is hand in the glove to the illuminati this fits in well to the theme of the film. See the compass and set square below in this pic

I've seen this film.

Your review is correct. However, to me it's just another forgettable film that repeats the same mantra of a dying world.

I don't really watch films. But i did see this at the Cinema by myself one night when i was waiting for my mum to finish work ( I collect her, was way early, know someone who works there)

I think you summed it up pretty good 8. I have nothing to add

To me, nothing new, reminded me aesthetically like Van Helsing.

Has anyone else seen this film? If so, how did you compredhend it? I've seen all three films numerous of times, I love it. Victor I don't believe "created" or engineered the Lycans in anyway, I don't think. When they say he created a new race, they're referring to Victor transforming his human slaves to Lycans, thus forming the race. The hierarchy of the vampires are draconian, since the draconians believe in power and status. The vampires to me represent hybrids with their human form, the original vampire Marcus (in Underworld Evolution) represents a gargoyle with the wings (full blooded reptilian but not the lizard people). I always get that image in mind. I can channel dragons since I do practice draconian magick but that's for another thread. But I thought I'd mention that since this is where I get my images from.
