Geithner, the then New York Fed chief, now US Treasury Secretary, hotfoot from the last Bilderberg Conference wrote a piece for a Brit newspaper calling for the same but framed even more conspicuously than Global Gordon has managed so far (which is something of a triumph in itself cos I'd wager he gets a woody anticipating a world currency).
