Yes, a lot of cool shit will come out of this crisis.

People think we are all going to starve to death, but I think that is highly premature. It will mean hard living for years is the most likley outcome.

After society reorgs around the changes, a lot of cool technological change will come out of it.

I don't believe wisdom has matured enough for this to not end in horrendous unforseen circumstances, but I could be wrong. And the idea of introducing such technology with zero public awareness or debate or understanding of the implications is abhorrent. Out of control lunatics, and time will prove it. I'm not really against such technology, but I am against it now, with mad scientists loose and with current controllers with hidden agendas. Look at the damage we uncover on a daily basis from their technology and meddling now. No... these people are totally irresponsible.

Wasnt much of a fan of that talk, he didnt touch on the real issue of the economic crisis, saying we need to cut back and save reinforcing the state of lack and not mentioning whats creating the lack.. similar to most mainstream economists rearranging deckchairs on the titanic.
