Typically nonsensical excuse offered for this crap...

The Home Office said the clause in the Bill was intended to allow police and councils to target premises where problems were occurring, such as underage sales

If they know that problems are occurring at particular premesis, they don't need cameras to identify this - they already know - so they could just deal with these problems.

Isn't the average supermarket in Britain riddled with CCTVs already? Walk into somewhere like Tesco and there is usually the guard's CCTV console right there to remind you from the moment you enter, that they're watching. Aren't many shops that sell alcohol in Britain, already fitted with CCTV cameras also? Corner shops, etc. All that is probably different here is that it is a government order as such. Of course, an easy way around this is simply to wear a hardcore Muslim veil. No shop keeper that wants to avoid being hauled up by the government and put on a 2 week - "Community cohesion and religious sensibilities course" (aka : reducation) is going to dare ask what appears to be a woman wearing a burkha, to lift their veil. Would they even question that a Muslim woman is buying alcohol in the first place? Probably not either, for the same reason. Furthermore, if you're not paying by credit card/debit card, then they've got a picture of you that is worthless. I'm joking with all this, of course............kind of. :o

Its just a big bluff cameras in store anyway. Most likely is that half the cameras arent working and no one is really watching or reviewing the tapes unless their a particular suspicion or incident. My brother works in Asda and he says theres all these cameras but only 1 guard whos usually busy with other duties rather than sitting watching all the shoppers. The cameras are really there to spy on staff not the shopers. So a lot of cameras are just like a sign in a private car park that says you ll be clamped. Its just total BS.

Is that right?
I have read about several people recently caught shoplifting in Walmart by cameras, and we have speed cameras that will take a photo of your plate and mail you a ticket, and TPTB are trying to make it law that a camera such as this can be legally used in a court of law, even though it cannot testify. FYI, the National Security Agency (NSA) has a satellite based infared camera system that is said to be able to read a postage stamp in your back yard, in a rainstorm. Never under estimate the power and design of the NWO, friend, and never dismiss a thing without researching it throughly first.
