There is a man in Poland (named Lucjan Łągiewka), he is about 60 years old. He hadn't graduated any famous technical univeristy, but he is a genius of physics. He invented and later developed car bumper and dynamic breaks. And many mainstream scientists refuse to recognize his works. If you want to see that, here are the links:
