I think Osaka's known for being a town full of amateur comedians. Aspiring comedians move there in order to "make it" in the comedy field, from what I've heard. That explains a lot of this goofy video.

Yup, just last week there was a lecture about the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe), I think the lecturer said that 90% of comedy (on TV) in Japan come from Osaka.

It happened to me.
For me, when some chap did that to me at a bus stop, I took it as an insult in that he was going to shoot me later. I thought that I should get him now or risk attack by him later.
I just said shove it. I walked away.
To me it was frightening. In the clip of course, they had at least a camera guy with them to legitamise it. To proove the point, I have been on the streets years ago with my pals, and cos it was a shoulder mounted type, you had a sense of professionalism about you that enabled you to get away with anything. Try this instead guys; ask the gals to flash their boobs. Give those that do a flower from your posey and ask permision for use. Now dont show it, but it will proove a point that folk are gullable.

Indeed. Actually it just proves Osakans haven't lost their playfulness. Kyotoans probably never had any, not to mention peoples of other nations.
