I can't say I know much about the myth of Atlantis except for Plato being the first person to ever mention such a place and there being no mention of such a place until his writings on the subject. This makes me sceptical about it's existence but wouldn't totally dismiss it.
Plato and his writings "The Republic" is a real darling of the NWO crew as the "The Republic" basically outlines a kind of scientific dictatorship run by a interbreeding elite class of citizens. He also favoured the use of the "nobile lie" - i.e false flags and BS stories to tell the public. Plato was also the "guru" for a number of (very) old school NWO types like Socrates and Pythagoras. In modern times people like Leo Stauss (godfather of the Neo Cons and and the use of the Nobile Lie (aka terrorism) as a means of control) were also big fans of Plato. Watch "The Power of Nightmares - Baby It's Cold Outside (http://www.archive.org/details/ThePowerOfNightmares)" to learn more about that freak.
Wasn't one of the suggestions about Project Bluebeam that there would be a sudden increase in mysterious ancient artefacts and relegious artefacts discovered worldwide which would change peoples perception of past history / relegions? The Sun seems to be doing a concerted effort in creating news stories about this type of thing of late.

It certainly feels like they are pushing a bit of a UFO agenda at the moment, yeah.
I'm just trying to work out how those lines could have formed... It looks very sparse - just long grooves. Does anyone know if this is what a ruined city could look like from such a height?

There are loads of odd undersea grid patterns. I was looking at google earth an have highlighter quite a few. In the pacific there is a weird perfectly trianlge shape in the sea. 6°24'40.81"N, 162°24'38.82"W
Go a bit further east from the OP grid and there looks like more grids and straight lines.

Maybe the Pacific one is Lemuria;).

Bluebeam? I hadn't thought of that. However I can understand if they want to create an image of Mohammed or something, but Atlantis? That makes no sense.
This is in the very location Plato said Atlantis was. It certainly resembles a street plan; and it's huge, as big as Wales. This also matches Plato's description, of Atlantis being a massive city. This is very exciting!:) It could be the biggest artifact supporting the alternative theory ever unearthed.
There's just one problem: Sunken cities have been found before, most famously by Graham Hancock off the coast on India; see his brilliant book Underworld. But so far all these ruins have been in shallow littoral waters off the continental shelf, on seabeds that are known to have been above the sea level in the past. This new discovery is different; if it is real then it shows the presence of a city in the intercontinental ocean depths:eek:, the Madeira Abyssal Plain. There is no process known in conventional geology that can ever account for this part of the ocean bed ever being on land.

Guys have a look just off the West coast of Scotland/Ireland - there seems to be a huge gridded area here - unfortunately I think this lends some weight to Googles argument about this being related to ships sonar - well either that or we have something even more amazing :)
Peace Always

Naturally though, any information that comes from the deep oceans is going to be sound-related. Sonar is the only thing that can reveal the oceans deeps.
howver less than 1% of the deep ocean has ever been visited by submarine, robot or anything else.

Plato's description of Atlantis very clearly states that it was circular.
