This poor young woman is literally being exploited to death
If you have followed or researched the story you'll know that she has been ill for
a couple of years now with a 'mystery illness' but her top Harley street doctors
were unable to give her a diagnosis. It sounds like she could've had the cancer
for a while now which would explain her blackouts and general malaise
of recent years.
A day or so before she went to appear on the Indian Big Brother (Big Boss)
she went to see her Top doctor who did tests and told her she was healthy
enough to appear on the programme. Within a very short time of her
entering the house, on an international platform ( in the bloody Diary Room )
she was told she would have to return home immediately as she had Cervical
cancer which was quite far gone. I knew as soon as I heard that she didn't stand a chance because
THIS STINKS.
She was having frequent health checks by a top doctor.
She had had a mystery illness for a long time.
They didn't tell her until she was on international television.
The cervical vaccine was being heavily pushed at the time.

And now the article above
QUOTE:
‘I’ve lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I’ll die in front of them.’
Its been on ITN news this evening that she's decided to spend her final weeks educating young women on the benefits of having the vaccine.
My heart goes out to this poor woman who, in my opinion, is being used 'til the very end. :(

It's a terrible thing. I feel for her and the countless other people out there going through the same or similar.
Jade did, however, ignore the letters her doctor sent her about abnormal smear test results and she chose to ignore them for some time:
http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/uncategorized/i-ignored-cancer-warnings-jade-goody_10088993.html
It's a horrible thing to happen to anyone.
I don't know how aware people here are of issues relating to abnormal smear tests, but receiving news of abnormal smear test results and undergoing treatment to remove abnormal cells is really common in women, and women between the ages of 20 - 29 stand a fairly good chance of receiving abnormal results. Sometimes, depending on the severity of the abnormality, you will just have to go back for a check in another six months to see if the body's rectified itself, but in more severe cases, the good ship NHS gets you seen and treated within a matter of weeks.
If anything, the case of Jade Goody should encourage more women to take the bull by the horns and book in for regular smear testing and don't keep putting it off when you get the letter through inviting you to attend a test. Identifying and treating pre-cancerous cells in the early stages greatly reduces the risk of them turning to cancer if left untreated.

I have the highest hopes for Jade and her family. I don't feel that she is being exploited - in her own words she said that she may choose to die as she has lived in the media eye. Jade said she would do what SHE wanted and chose and has long since given up caring what other people think.

Thanks for the info. I still don't understand how, if that article was dated last
August, her top doctors weren't keeping a closer check on her after the
abnormal cells were discovered.
Maybe it is just a tragic coincidence but something just doesn't feel right to me.
Especially now that here PR gurus have persuaded her to spend her last days pushing that vaccine.

actually that's not strictly true, i read yesterday that she had 2 (i think) test results confirming that she had abnormal cells, but through fear after a previous operation did not return to have further tests. by the time they figured out she had cancer it was in advanced stages which is why it has so "suddenly" spread. it's a tragic story and i feel immense pity for her and her family.

I just picked that article randomly from the net. I just ran "Jade Goody ignored abnormal result" in a search engine and it brought up articles from many various sources relating to her ignoring it.
The medical profession only does so much. They send you the letter to say there's a problem and they book you an appointment for you to have a colposcopy at a hospital as an outpatient. It's down to the individual to keep the appointment, but the NHS usually stresses that if the patient misses the appointment, no further appointment will be offered.
If the individual keeps the appointment and then goes on to have treatment, rogue cells are usually burnt away and a biopsy is taken and examined further to ensure all the rogue cells have been captured and that cancer hasn't developed. The individual will then receive a letter in the coming weeks to advise on the outcome of the biopsy, recalling the individual if there are still problems or if cancer has been identified. Even when the treatment's been successful, you're then recalled six months later for a further smear test and if all is well after that time then you're called back annually for the next nine years. If after that time smear test results continue to be negative, you then go back to the three-yearly testing.

Yes, I feel for her and the many others out there who go through the same, it's a horrible thing and so preventable.
She was scared and in fear, as are so many other women when the receive that letter saying all's not well. It's a pity that her fear got the better of her, otherwise it's possible she may not be in such an awful circumstance now.

TBH I worry about getting diagnosed with cancer, as from what I have read, the treatment appears to be as detrimental as the disease itself.

From what I've heard, the treatment is gruelling and horrendous. A friend's mum is undergoing treatment (radiotherapy only at present) for oesophageal cancer and it's a truly horrible, emotionally and physically draining time for the person affected as well as those close to her. Simply awful and doesn't have a great long-term success rate either.

A very close friend of mine passed away from cancer last year. She seemed
fine until she went for a routine smear and it was diagnosed. After gruelling
radio and chemotherapy she died within a matter of weeks going from 10stone
to 3 stone. Before she started the treatment I gave her information on B6 etc.
that I'd saved from this site but her husband considers me a 'conspiracy
theorist' and threw my info in the bin. I have always felt since that if she
hadn't had the conventional 'treatment she might have been around for much
longer.:(

I watched a old doc called " A life without cancer ".. I recommend it to anyone who wants to understand what Cancer actually is and how to avoid it.
There is a cancer epidemic and TPTB are doing everything in their power to make sure it stays that way. For a long time now there are more people making money off cancer than corps and companies losing out.
It all comes down to the monetary system again.

I watched her on TV last night and had to fightback my tears as I watched the absolute love and care she showed her 2 boys in preparation for christmas. Towards the end of the show when chemotherapy had taken it,s grip, she looked destroyed. She did not look or feel that bad before chemotherapy. We know a family friend who was diagnosed with cancer who refused the kind offer of chemo and lived a further 14 years. Says it all for me.

Would they really have told her live on television unless she had consented to it first? I doubt it.
Even though it is a terrible thing to have happened to her, and she has clearly been exploited, she has been complicit in her own exploitation every step of the way and she has made a fat load of cash to leave her young boys. This is more than most dying mothers get to do for their sons.
I did say from the start, as soon as it was announced that Jade had cancer, that I thought it was something to do with them pushing the cervical cancer vaccine. What mother watching this whole thing unfold is not going to say to their little girls "right it's the vaccine for you - heaven forbid you end up like poor Jade."

Generally people who are being exploited don't realise as much.
Are you saying, if they've made loads of cash during their exploitation they are complicit?

In fairness, she's an idiot, to be manipulated and possibly poisoned the way she has been, and if she hasn't woken up by now after all she's "been through" then she deserves her fate.
Pity she doesn't educate herself first.

I feel really annoyed.
If she wants to educate young women out there, she shouldn't be advocating the vaccine, dammit, she should be bloody well stressing the importance of going for regular smear tests and providing reassurance that the treatment to deal with pre-cancerous cells is quick and virtually pain-free.
Has she learned nothing from her own experience?

At first I avoided this story like the plague (in fact I still do) as originally I thought it was a PR stunt, as time has gone on I now think it is genuine. Something however doesn't sit well with me, the fact that this woman's life and sickness has been fully documented has me thinking there is more to it.
Now some say she is educating the masses, getting paid for her children yada yada yada. Whereas I would say she's either being heavily manipulated (bless her if she is) or willing putting herself out to the media. The fact that I heard that even Gordon Brown has sent her a personal messages, means they are milking this for all its worth, therefore there is something deeper going on.
My theories are
1. Pushing the vaccine
2. or my gut feeling that this will be the new sick reality TV...
..where you watch stars, adore them, put them on pedal stool, knock them down and then eventually watch them suffer and die. It sounds sick but I'm serious, look at Britney and Amy Winehouse, they were people putting open bets on when they would die.
I would go as far as saying Jade Goody is being used as the experiment for this. The fact that we would have watched this whole woman's life and possible death on TV is disgusting - it seems they want to draw us in and feed off our energies and get us into this obsession with death.
At this stage I would not be surprised if Jade's last breath is aired on TV. Why do we need to be privy to this? Why must it be all over the news? Why are we acting like she's the only celeb to get cancer?
Believe me there is a lot more to this and I refuse to get myself caught up in this energy draining excercise.
Would they really have told her live on television unless she had consented to it first? I doubt it.

I feel very sorry for Jade. She's spent the last few years being used as a Conformist poster-girl and being treated like a carnival fool. When she dies, The Sun will cover her funeral and then she'll be forgotten and some other poor cow will be recruited to fullfill the role.

Seoige sisters too aggressive on dying Jade, fumes Clifford

SCATHING: PR guru says there was unfair criticism of cancer victim
SPIN GURU: Max Clifford says that the important issue of cancer was rushed over in interview
By Claire Murphy
Thursday February 26 2009
The celebrity agent of terminally ill mum Jade Goody has launched a scathing attack on the Seoige sisters for an "aggressive" interview.
PR guru Max Clifford reacted angrily to a phone interview between him and the RTE stars concerning Jade's wellbeing.
"I was surprised and disappointed by the way they handled a very sensitive issue," Mr Clifford said.
Cancer stricken Jade (27) has attracted significant comment about her public appearances in recent times, having sold the rights to her wedding and revealed that she is preparing for a final interview with Piers Morgan.
Disappointed
But Mr Clifford (65) said that a lot of the media hype was untrue. He said he was disappointed by the interview with Sile and Grainne Seoige.
"They were criticising her for selling the rights to her being filmed dying and I said it's not true -- it's been made up by the media," he said. "We've never negotiated or spoken to anybody, nor would we. It won't happen."
"They were making out that the vast majority of people are very anti-Jade Goody. I explained that the vast majority of the British public are hugely supportive of her," he added.
"From the calls I have got from Ireland, everybody said to me the same thing but the two girls had a very antagonistic attitude."
And he pointed out that this was Jade's way of dealing with the devastating news of cervical cancer.
"Speaking as someone who was himself diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago, everyone is entitled to handle their own scenario in their own way -- I did it privately but it suited me," Max said. "And since she went public about cervical cancer, there's been a huge increase in young women having cervical smears."
Mr Clifford said that he felt the interview was very hurried and that interviewers should not be so critical, especially when it such a sensitive issue.
"It was very rushed at the end of the programme and it's not a subject you should be rushing over in a few seconds," he noted.
Balanced
A spokesman for RTE said that having spoken to Grainne and Sile, they were satisfied with how the interview proceeded.
"They were adamant that the item was fair and balanced and that they put both sides," said the spokesman. "Unfortunately, it being live television, they did run out of time towards the end of the item ... The item was intended to be an objective debate ... but obviously Max is coming at it from a very personal perspective."
Jade has now been left bed-ridden by the exertions of her wedding. A hospital bed has been moved into the dining room of her Essex home so that she can receive regular morphine injections.

In fairness, Jade Goody doesn't even exist over here, however, when i was in Ireland i did grow to like her, i do feel she's just a pawn but still she's a pretty ignorant pawn.
I'm not a heartless person, it's awful to think of anyone leaving this life in such a terribly ill and suffering way, and to leave her boys behind wihtout their mum which i know how hard that is, obviously multiplied by a million for her kids.
But this is fake people, it's not how it seems, people on here should know better. Its all about the vaccine, and people are falling for it hook, line and sinker.
It wasn't so long ago people were having a right laugh at Jade calling her porkface, and now they're all out in support of her. The same people.
Business, it's business, anyway she will move on into the next world and be happy and free of suffering. It's media rubbish this whole story.

And therefore - the vaccine.
Jade could possibly have done her final duty before to "die". A possibilty, that's all. If we are to believe that the media movie is that cruel/fake behind the scenes.

With all due respect to this Jade goody (I don't know who she is) there are thousands of people, if not more, who are also suffering from terminal illnesses, and yet they suffer in anonymity. They don't have the spotlight focused on them and their pain. It's appears to me that there is an agenda behind all the "press" she is getting.
