Anyone else see a pattern emerging here ?
A Republican has withdrawn his nomination as US Commerce Secretary
over "irresolvable conflicts" with Barack Obama.
Judd Gregg said he could not overcome differences with the President
on his handling of the economic stimulus plan and the 2010 census.
The withdrawal means the President is forced to look for a Commerce
Secretary for a third time.
His first choice candidate, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, pulled
out because he was facing a legal investigation into allegations
involving state contracts.
Mr Obama's attempts to form his administration have also been hit by
the withdrawals of Senator Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer, both due
to tax problems.
