Have you ever had a recurring dream? I did when I was either 6 or 7. The only reason I can remember the aprox. age, was it was about the same time my sister was a little baby, and just before she was born. Now I had forgotten about this dream, that was until my son had the same dream at about the same age. And now I can not put it out of my mind, I really wished I could. If your wondering I never told my children any of my dreams.
Here is the dream.
I was riding in the car with my mother driving down a highway. There were no trees, which is the case in the parts of Texas. That was where I was living at the time, but there were hills in my dream. Anyways while riding in the car, I noticed off in the distance was many automobiles, several there were police, and ambulances, with their lights flashing. But I could not see any people. Well this dream went on for several nights. But finally on the last night I had this dream this is how it went. It started out the same, but this time mom stopped the car and I jumped out, and ran over this hill. There were police and paramedics walking around. And on the ground were many many body bags with people inside the bags. They were lined up in many rows.
And as soon as this dream ended I had another. In this dream I was in a room that looked very much like a school gym. The type that has the wooden bleachers that pull out. This room was filled with people sitting on the bleachers. I dropped my toy that I had with me, so I crawled under to retrieve the toy. While down on the floor, I saw what looked like cabbage falling to the floor. I peeked through the opening of the bleachers and it was not cabbage, but human heads that were being cut off. That part of the dream really freaked me out, that every time I closed my eyes I could see that part of the dream.
As I mentioned at the first part of this I did eventually forget about what I just talked about, that was until one night my son woke up screaming. He is not one for having nightmares. I was able to eventually get him to tell me about it. When he told me about his nightmare, that was when I recalled the exact same dream I had when I was a child. And now, I just can not put it out of my mind, and that was over 5 years ago when he had it.
