As I understand it, he is pro death penalty.

So, what's wrong with the death penalty? Should murderers not be punished? The answer is that murderers should be removed from society. We also need to look at the social programming that creates murderers in the first place, but as it is today, murder and other hideous crimes are committed and something has to be done to remedy that. That's valid. But a government wanting to kill? A government wanting to have death penalty? That only means that the government has sunk to the low level of a murderer itself. I'm sure the government sees itself as a God and that killing when done by an individual citizen is murder, but when the government "gives" a person the death penalty, it thinks that it is divine justice. It's not divine justice. It's ape-like behaviour. It's a regression into a Dark Age mentality.

I think it depends on the historical context. In the past, killing could sometimes perhaps not be avoided. For a reasonable civilized society today however, the death penalty is looked upon as a barbaric relic from the dark ages.

Or, to put it another way; why would a government want to contaminate itself with the life-sapping negative energy that planned killing brings? If the government wants to play God, it would be wise to not to succumb to simplistic dark behavior such as administrating the death penalty. Blood cannot be washed away with blood.

A government that administers the death penalty has to have judges that sentence people to death. Already there in judging someone to death begins the decent into the dark slope. "I'm just following orders", the judge says. Then death equipment has to be manufactured. Electric chairs and gas chambers. Nice products befitted a civilized society, wouldn't you agree? "What do you do for a living?" - "I work in a company that manufactures gas chambers" - "Oh, really? Is it for medical tests?" - "No, it's for killing humans" - "How wonderful, you must really love your job" And then we have the people who will have to push the button that will activate the electric chair or the gas chamber. Aren't they the lucky ones? "Look, I'm allowed by my government to push this button. And it will kill that person! Isn't that exciting?! I feel so powerful now that my government has given me the honor and privilege to push this button, and I'm sure the person I kill will not come back and haunt me when he/she is dead because my government protects me, and I just follow orders, just following my precious government, my precious....my precious..."

I remember hearing the $pringfield episode "the freemasons run the country" when i first saw it, both my brothrs heard it too. We just looked at each other in shock. We couldn't work out whether Matt Groening is taking the piss and trying to awaken the masses or whether he does it for fun to see if anyone notices.

Futurama also has a number of messages or jokes around the masons and hidden hand.

As does American Dad, but i think supposed to be obvious, as he's supposed to be a CIA agent and has a pet alien.

I think these shows are ridiculing the masonic "conspiracy" ideas. The same
way CSI ridiculed the idea of reptilians in that recent episode.
