Relaxation techniques such as meditation and muscle relaxation are fine, but it's important to make sure that they produce actual results.
When experts talk about how to "learn how to relax" then one should examine what they mean by that. The default state of a person should be a relaxed state, a balance and ease in the person's mental, emotional and physical being.
So "learn to relax" should only be seen as a form of training. In everyday life, if you have to make an effort to try to relax, then you are coming from a state of tension and stress. You should turn that upside-down way of living around so that your ordinary everyday life is lived from a relaxed, high-energy state, and from that state you can concentrate and act.
So, to learn how to relax shouldn't result in you still being tense and stressed in your daily life, and then from that state by effort try to relax yourself. That's an upside-down approach. Instead, learn how to achieve a more and more relaxed DEFAULT state.
