Tena koe ehoa.

We should, I know tickles is a kiwi too.

I'm hopfully, ( if work prevails) thinking of hooking up with the australian connection, there is a thread called "the great Auzy get together". I think thats what the threads called, tapp in and see if its up your alley. They are to have it in Coffs Harbour, around October. What a beautiful place. But meanwhile back in the wops, we should get together, I'm defanately trying to welcome into my life like minded people, that I can talk to that don't think I'm off the planet, (scuse the pun). My whole family, (4 kids, 2 adults a cat and a dog) beleive. We have all witnessed UFO sightings in Auckland and Taupo. And my father was hunting in the backbush in Gisborne in 1968 and witnessed a very close encounter. But outside of that there is a small group of my friends that are beginning to understand, with 2 in particular who totally know. There are other things happening too, up North. Its very exciting. Would love to hear from you lemonique, 2 meke.

Hi Ngawaka!! thanks for replying. I'm in Christchurch, and I can honestly say they are very conservative down this way :) feels a bit lonely at times.
I was going to join the local UFO group here, but without a car it was difficult to get to the meetings, which are held at night on the other side of town. I'm sure there would be a few like minded souls there... that's life :D
My Maori language isn't too good Ngawaka...went to classes in the 70's for a few weeks but had to pull out due to family commitments. Bah!
Glad to see there's a few in the know up North Yay!!
We can PM if there's anything interesting happening. I may attend the Coff's Harbour get together, not too sure as yet.
Thanks again
Lemonique

greets lemonique, Ngawaka ,good to see a few kiwis around

i was discussing breifly the TIKI with a tutor on my course atm. he said something about them having the ability to shapeshift but stoped talking pretty quick. the storys and stuff have so much in common with alot of other cultures that have never met. funny aye. i know he knows something. hehe. were off to whakatu marae next fri for a hangi.

our class at poly has learnt the HAKA and TIAHA movements for it. should be good.

all the students are puttin on the hangi. learning about maori culture.

anyway i was thinkin of puttin on a more post traditional maori food contribution. the ol pork bones, watercress, puha and doe boys. hehe. give em a real taste of it. i grew up on the stuff with my olds and what not. living up wanganui/kai iwi / waitotara and even up wanganui river for a while before i was introduced to SOCIETY. love it up there.

we were one of the more easy going honkeys up the river. they used to call my old man. gary the maori. haha

Hi Ashyr!! thanks for replying. Wow, sounds like a great 'field trip' coming up to Whakatu. The lovely Hawke's Bay eh? and the Hangi sounds great too. Yum!! Looks like you have had a good grounding in the traditional ways, lucky you :) Have you learned of the natural medicines? now, that would be interesting.
Have a neat time Ashyr! and eat some Hangi for me will you please :D
Cheers

I don't live in New Zealand but both my parents are kiwi and most of my relatives live around Motueka (sp?) near Nelson.

I love NZ. Frickin' cold though! I enjoyed the Golden Bay area the most. (Takaka)

Harwoods hole's awesome! Nice walk to it too. Pretty long though. Yeah, I liked Golden Bay's hippy vibes. Much like how where I am now used to be in the good old days. I liked the Invisible shop the best!:D Herbal highs and that.... The salvia tore my head off though! That stuff is STRONG!:D

yeah he probably landed in what would have been called 'FLAGSTAFF" in nz. first merchant settle ment i think, i live there with my fiance in her parents house for a while. some of you might know it as "DEVONPORT" in the northshore of auckland.

anyway. there is this underlying tone ive felt with nz'ers they tend to not want to do anything apart from be that inside nz, its like were so into ourselves or have no desire to leave, everything is sweet here, and onlookers see that as a flaw? a negative thing for our people, self sufficiency?

btw big HELLO to Purple

Sounds like you got it sussed over there do your own thing live your own life. Two friends where over there a while ago went to visit a lad who used to live here in the UK he said there is no way he's coming back here. Grows his own smoke in his garden 100% natural as nature intended, wages are better, the people more friendly. The only thing my friends visiting didn't like was Hobbitton where they filmed Lord of the Rings only because it was a none smoking zone. But yes seen some amazing pics of some great places. Can't remember the names though.
