View Full Version : A morning of purging

(I wrote these this morning- I wouldn't exactly class this as "talent", just a crap, unsophisticated way for me to "purge" this morning).
-----------------------------------
Sitting,
The room silent
Faint humming,
Electric meter.
Sitting,
Waiting
An eerie stillness
Empty uncertainty.
Outside,
I see snowflakes,
Dancing
Between me and
a window
That seperates me
From that
Outside world.
Sitting,
waiting.
An eerie stillness
A faint humming
Empty uncertainty.
The cardboard box
Rests folded against the wall
Reminiscing yesterday
Tiny bits of rubble
And dust
Scattered accross the carpet.
And I sit, waiting
Uncertain
Seperated from the world,
beyond my window.
I wait, alone.
Circumstances have
seperated
From me those I love
So I must sit,
And contemplate
A strange sensation in my heart,
It feels like hurt.

My heart,
Burning with heat
Wanting to love,
Isolated,
Inverted,
Turning in,
With flames
Which consume.

Yesterday, I asked,
Are creation and destruction
Co-dependant?
When I realized
That nothing is destroyed,
It only changes.
There are many worlds
And dimensions,
Not only this one.
I shall let my mind soar
Accross great blue skys
Radiant sunsets
And endless, starlit, black velvet
diamond laden space
I shall not force
My mind, imagination to shrink;
It is the expression; the universal,
Creative force.

"Focus your thoughts"
I tell myself.
My imagination
Is wild and ferrel.
"Don't desire, what
You cannot yet have-
This will only create
That feeling of lack".
I tell this to myself.
For a while, the pursuit of knowledge
Gives me something with which to focus.
But later....
I feel the need
To feel affection.
"Stop it, you must stop
You must be patient.
You are only causing
Yourself pain".
I feel trapped
In a Time Capsule
In the thick density
Of Times' dimension.
This moment, for now
Is all I have.

My stupid,
Bodily hormones
Driving me crazy.
Here I am, trying to focus
To not feel lack,
But focus on purpose.
My feminity- that universal sphere
Cries out for your masculinity-
That universal vector
Coming together as one,
Where I know there is peace,
Where I know there is bliss.
I love you so much
I don't know why
It's just something about you
Your spirit, your vibe
The feel of your touch.
Your kiss.
I don't agree with
The way you do things
In your life.
But I don't care.
Just hold me.
Let's dissolve
together.

Here she comes
Silent in her sound
Here she comes
Fresh upon the ground
Come gentle spring
Come at winter's end
Gone is the pallow from a promise that's nature's gift
Waiting for the colour of spring
Let me breathe
Let me breathe the colour of spring
Here she comes
Laughter in her kiss
Here she comes
Shame upon her lips
Come wanton spring
Come for birth you live
Youth takes it's bow before the summer the seasons bring
Waiting for the colour of spring
Let me
Let me breathe
Let me breathe
Let me breathe
Let me breathe

You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You could be the one
I'll always love
You could be the one who listens
To my deepest inquisitions
You could be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken
Pieces of my life I had before
First there was the one who challenged
All my dreams and all my balance
She will never be as good as you
You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You should be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken
Pieces of the life I had before
Before you

I kept waiting
For those walls to melt
For you to come to me
And share yourself
With me.
I kept waiting.
I love you baby
But while I'm waiting
I feel so alone.
You have broken my heart.
I love you baby.
With all my heart
I wanted this to work, not fail.
I resent the universe
For not allowing it.
For not allowing
Our emotional wavelengths
To meet.

I like your stuff, Lost.
But it sort of reminds me of my own writings, so it's sort of... self-serving.

Love, love, love is blind
Reality shape-shifts in my mind
What my heart always wanted
It somehow couldn't find.
A pain inside, that cuts so deep
You become the pain-
That stabs the heart, and makes blood seep.
I feel I have no strength left,
Nothing to give
That life is just a cycle,
No reason to live.
But I want to believe
And I want to love
My tears roll down
Mixing spiritual blood.
Where are you?
Where are you Twin Flame?
Are you an angel
Or dwell on this plane?
I want you to hold me
I want to feel safe again
The world is so perplexing
And I feel so alone
These walls feel unnatural
I'm longing for home
I'm longing for a kin
But mostly, longing for you
This emptiness is consuming
Tell me what to do.
My chest is filled with agony
These wounds they cannot see
I know I need help
I have tried to fix myself
There's no-one around
In the waters of silence
I feel myself drown
So powerful,
So deep.
Tell me
Why must angels weep?
Why must life contain
Such a duality
Of happiness and pain?
Can we ascend, if we evolve
Is this cycle endless
Or can problems be solved?
Does my angel try to heal
From a frequency
I cannot feel?
Is life a prison
We cannot escape
A cold dark cell
Which isolates?
In which we torture
Our animal kin
And children go hungry
And war is not a sin.
Why are human beings so sick?
Why are sensitives outcast
Made to feel like aliens?
Scream
I scream
I want to wake up
From this terrible dream
Bathe me in love
And share it with
Every being
There is no evil
Just ignorance itself
It's just a dream
It's just a dream
Wake me up.
It's just a dream.

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.
Good work again lost . Keep posting ,:D

Something has shifted
A burden has lifted
A new beginning
My heart goes on singing
Whatever will happen
We'll make it through
Because whatever happens
Somehow, it's meant to
We'll all make it, in the end
A new beginning
My heart goes on singing
Whatever will happen
We'll make it through
Because whatever happens
Is somehow meant to

I wrote a poem just now and thought of soiling your thread with it. I know it's crappy, but I can't resist sharing this dismal sentiment with others.
The love that you reach for is the hate that you birth
The love that you never receive is the burden of pain you are given
It cannot be simply discarded, a recycling bin of the correct shape is a must, but does not exist
Thus your back will turn crooked, and your already wounded insides will warp further
There's little you can do
Searching for a new love to straighten up your misbegotten life is a possibility
Yet far more likely is that you acquire a new burden, a new pain
In the end you will be crooked enough to resemble a seashell
A spiraling, quivering shell that has nothing to hold on to but the hate, your offspring
The sole achievement you can profess to possess

I like it, Hauki. :)
Perhaps there are many paths we may take in life resulting in different patterns, metaphorically.
I bought a pocket book of poems by Rumi the other day at Waterstones. I don't know if you've ever heard of him.
The War Inside
Rest your cheek, for a moment,
on this drunken cheek.
Let me forget the war and cruelty inside myself.
I hold these silver coins in my hand;
give me Your wine of golden light.
You have opened the seven doors of heaven;
now lay Your hand generously on my tightened heart.
All I have to offer is this illusion, my self.
Give it a nickname at least that is real.
Only you can restore what You have broken;
help my broken head.
I’m not asking for some sweet pistachio candy,
but Your everlasting love.
Fifty times I’ve said,
"Heart, stop hunting and step into this net."
~Rumi
