Head spinning-start of OBE/Astral travelling?

While at my mates house last night, got chatting to his wife about meditation and out of body experiences.
I told her about my ability to make myself feel like I am spinning. I do this by either sitting or lying down then close my eyes and just think about spinning, then it happens in my head!?? I really feel like my head is moving, and usually feel like my whole body is tumbling as well!:eek:
She then said that this was the start of a out of body experience, great news:) I wonder, does this mean I am close to doing some astral flying, hope so?...........:):)

it could be very possible. i think a spinning technique is a good one for getting confused with were your body is. and if you confuse your mind then you could trigger the obe response, because part of your awareness is outside of your body so that puts pressure on your non physhical bodys according to robert bruce. and in time if you hold that awareness long enough you will trigger the projection reflex, because your mind and subconscious thinks that you are allready out, so its like tricking them. just go with it mate and see how long you can hold it for, and if it all goes well you should feel vibrations then if you stay calm through those you should be out of body not long after.

I get that too sometimes but usually when I have an OBE the feeling is more profound. It feels like your head is pulling away from you and the vibrations are quite intense, accompanied by a buzzing sound (I am taliking about an OBE by the way:cool:) When you get that feeling, it's easy to come out of it if you fight it, but you must go with the feeling and let it take hold of you and trust it, then you can go where you want.

When I spin, I can only maintain it for 10secs or so, but I will go with it and hopefully break free and do some exploring!:):)

funny you say that light, cos i really want to fly too! no profound reason just want to fly around earth and maybe mars :)
