What is an Internet Troll/ Forum troll?
An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Forum Troll delights in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.

A classic CureZone troll is trying to make us believe that he is a skeptic. He is divisive and argumentative with need-to-be-right attitude, "searching for the truth", flaming discussion, and sometimes insulting people or provoking people to insult him. Troll is usually an expert in reusing the same words of its opponents and in turning it against them.

While he tries to present himself as a skeptic looking for truth ... his messages usually sound as if it is the responsibility of other forum members to provide evidence that what forum is all about is legitimate science.

and more...

I posted this in case some others new here also wanted to know what all this troll business is about. Personally, I usually just skip over that type of stuff - but the time wasted doing so when it gets out of hand can really hurt this forum. When we consider how deadly serious the topics discussed here happen to be, it would seem to any reasonable mind that "trolling" here is a pretty sad thing for each of us and our children who inheret the world we leave to them.

personally I find the whole idea of these troll and psyop labels very dangerous and a typical defense mechanism of the ego as it becomes too easy to label an opposing view as troll or psyop. note I am not saying there is no such thing as a deliberate psyop on forums but remain balanced and welcome any opposing view.

if what you know is the truth then no opposing view or attack will sway you and you will be happy to reply.

only recently I posted on an antizionist youtube vid that people should be balanced not to taint all jews with the same tar brush and every race today seems quite happy to engage in usury not just jews and they reply saying stop weaving your talmudic magic and addresed me as a jew and so on.

so to me their falacy was obvious knowing that I am white british and not jew but these people where convinced simply because it was opposing their beleif.

So build belief of psyop and trolls at you own risk.

In internet folklore, a troll is any person who purposely causes controversy in a web community and disrupts shit for his own amusement. The term derives from "trolling," a style of fishing which involves trailing bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. As a verb, "to troll" is probably a corruption of "trawl." Troll is fine as a verb since trawling/trolling for comments and flames is innate troll behavior. Their habitual attacks on forums is usually a result of their awareness of the pretentiousness and excessive self-importance of many forum enthusiasts. One of many unsung internet heroes, most are quite intelligent. Their actions bring much of the stupidity of other forum users out into the great wide open.

Do trolls none-purposefully troll though?

And if so are they really trolls, or simply someone missing the point?

This thread is serving no useful purpose but to allow members to insult one another; therefore, I am closing it.
