Happy Solstice everyone!

Did anyone go to Stonehenge or anywhere similar?

Hope the police didn't try to stop you celebrating. The govt cracked down on "hippies" in the 70's, spreading disniformation and lies about how people worshiping at Stonehenge might damage the monument... even though it's been there at least 4500 years. The only thing that damaged the monument was when the English coverted to Christianity and stopped using the site; then they just broke up some of the stones for building material.

The only reason the govt attacked the "hippies" is because they were free spirits who refused to conform to established religion and economics. They had their own cooperative barter economy. How would they keep control of us if those ideas spread!?

I have been to Stonehenge and found it to be too commercialized. Had to wait in a long line. Found it to be cold and uninviting due to merchandising tactics. When I look back at my photos...from many years ago..I see and feel the energy of that sacred place being destroyed. This is just one person's opinion here. Maybe things have changed?

Several people have told me that Stonehenge has a dark energy these days. I think it's been (and probably still is!) used for Satanic ritual and in the Middle Ages pagan witch executions took place there. There was an interesting TV show about an archaeologist who found a beheaded skeleton there. It was dated to the 7th Century AD, just when the Christian missionaries were gaining power in England. No wonder they called that time "The Dark Ages"!

Waiting for the Sun ....On Freedoms Shore

http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/410Q47DCGNL._SS500_.jpg

Jim Morrison however is singing of the Spring Equinox ( I still Love the Tune though)
At first flash of eden, we race down to the sea.
Standing there on freedoms shore.
Waiting for the sun (3x)
Can you feel it now that spring has come.
And its time to live in the scattered sun.
Waiting for the sun (3x, pause, again slower)
Waiting.... waiting.... waiting.... waiting.... (2x)
Waiting for you to - come along
Waiting for you to - hear my song
Waiting for you to - come along
Waiting for you to - tell me what went wrong
This is the strangest life Ive ever known.
Yeah! (riff 8x)
(repeat second verse, chorus 3x, then riff 2x, end).

ALL Love Phoenix:)

I predicted it would be a dull cloudy day months ago. I can't remember a sunny solstice day. Anyone remember the last time it was sunny ???

I will spend the day alone as usual.

The "occulties" celebrate the Summer Solstice. They call it Litha.
For the illuminati, Litha is a night of sacrifice.

Hi bluedolphin (hehe cool name!!:)) & welcome to the forum :)

I'm sad to hear that the energy has changed there recently. I was very fortunate to get inside the stones back in 1993 & the energy back then was amazing, absolutely mind blowing!! What have the bastards been getting up to there!?!

Oh, it's such a shame cos it's an amazing place when the energy is left to flow in a positive way!! I've never experienced anything like it before or since.

Did anyone go to Stonehenge or anywhere similar?
...How would they keep control of us if those ideas spread!?

Hi there, I'm old enough to be able to remember going down to Stonehenge in the 60's when I was a kid, when you could still walk over the fields and just "find" the stones there, and often there was no-one about, at all.. and they had a wonderful old magic and mystery, strange and quite dark; and in the late 70's I went back once to observe the solstice. I have to say I didn't feel that the "dark" side of hooded people was at all a good vibe. And I'm not sure if that was what Stonehenge was always about. My feeling is, reading other stuff around it, connected to neolithic cultures, and links to Phoenician culture, trading with or using people in Britain around at that time, that those old Druidic cultures had some deep knowledge connected to the Moon of course and other cycles, that they were prepared to die for rather than give away. The Romans were determined to eradicte it, which suggests that it contradicted their plans for being associated with supreme god-given power. I'm still considering Knight and Lomax' ideas about ancient wisdom initiated by the so-called "Grooved ware" folk who they say built the stone circles, henges and barrows, and the ideas of Andrew Collins and Philip gardiner who argue differently. The fertility rites function of the henges seems plausible. There seems to be definite DNA links between those original dwellers, and the line that leads via the Basques and Iberian Atlantic coast route, straight back to Sumeria, and, if you look at the size of populations at that time with any kind of technical skills and mathematical knowledge, possibly too to the original Magi and so-called "Watchers" of the Kurdistan mountain-tops. As this seemingly coincides with the growth of war-like tendencies in the "gods" as well as the trauma experienced by humanity, I tend to feel that the ritual function of the henges was probably anything but sympathetic to people, and could even have formed part of the enforced cross-breeding of "Nephilim" DNA with the human. People have very different views about these ancient monuments. But of course the rebellion of people against anything that steals our sense of self, is positive, and so long as we believe in that, and fight the hive-mind, we have a chance..!!

Hi zircon

I personally believe these places are energy centres & therefore are a neutral form of energy, until the time when someone / something comes along & uses / directs that energy for a specific purpose, be that good or bad / light or dark... Anyway just my opinion, I'm sure others have different views on this too :)

Yes.. as it's the solstice and a very important moment, that Stonehenge was at the centre of for many hundreds of years, maybe it's a good one to ask anyone else out there if they have any interesting thoughts / theories / knowledge of what the Henges were for?
