UK economy will shrink faster than rest of the developed world, IMF predicts

The British economy will shrink by 2.8 per cent this year in the worst performance of any developed economy, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicted today.

In a profoundly gloomy set of figures, the fund slashed its previous forecasts for world economic growth to near standstill at only 0.5 per cent, the weakest since the Second World War, from a November estimate of 2.2 per cent. Makes sense I guess, after all out of all the Euro nations the UK is the one which needs the most breaking of spirit before its people will accept the rule of the EU.

Heck even Ireland accepted the Euro.

It's beyond me how people in this country can still seriously believe that having the Euro is NOT an option, we might as well get it over and done with, it will make no difference to most ordinary folks anyway.

I have no problem with the Euro being an "option", the problem comes from the fact this would imply a freedom of choice by the population of the UK.

If we ignore our railroading into a federal EU then we become complicit in our loss of democracy.
