People always make the choice seem like: you're either in favour of a modernised world where we all trade, or you want go back to local, isolated communities.

That is the deception. Like Ron Paul says, I'm all in favour of trading freely with other countries. But why do I have to form a government with a country, just to freely trade with it? Why can't France and Germany freely trade with each other without being a part of the EU? Why does there have to be a centralised government, an EU "President", an EU parliament..? Why can't the damn countries trade freely without having to be connected in any way politically?

That is the deception. They want to take our freedoms away by centralising political decision making, so that the people have no real connection to politicians. They want to take the corporate interests and power as far away from the people as possible. This has nothing to do with free trade. I should be able to trade freely with someone without being a part of their government.

Yep! :)

Support your local community wherever you can!

Buy local produce. Support local / private business.

And remember to ask...

"Are you local?" :D

Spot on,and what's more, anyone who wont fall into line with the abandonment of their home country's sovereignty is branded a "zenophobe".

We are "homogenisationphobes" - I love France,Germany,Italy, all the countries of Europe, and I want to see them retain their cultures and national identities, just like England,Scotland,Ireland and maybe oneday even Cornwall will be devolved/free...

They want to rob from us the very hope of knowing there are other places where life is better and more beautiful.

I totally agree, its all one big deception. They will never get away with it, the problem is that they will cause one big mess in the process of trying.

Vive la difference.

The area I live in is under destruction (or "regeneration" as the quango behind it like to call it) courtesy of EU funding. They're destroying the very soul of the place.Local businesses have gone under,Cornish families forced to move into England because they cannot get a foot on the housing ladder.
All in the pursuit of building useless commercialised, consumerist crap that noone wanted in the first place.

If you look out of the window now,you wouldn't know where you were anymore. All the buildings you pinned memories to - gone...it's disorienting and architecture is cloned countrywide, imagine what type of bland, characterless zombies will emerge.

Anyway...I just hold fast to the belief none of this agenda is going to turn out the way they planned :)
