Whenever I call my boyfriend or when he calls me, I hear a receiver being picked up a few minutes into the conversation, so does he.

This does not happen when I call other people. What is going on?

In the past I would have said this is evidence of your phone being tapped, but now I'm not so sure, THEY have many ways to do this without leaving clicks etc on your phone.

Well from what I've heard every form of electronic communication goes through GCHQ, thats phone calls, emails, texts etc, also it is trained to listen for certain 'key words' like Bombs, Ak47, assaniation, drugs, you get the picture, anything that falls under the prevention of terrorism act, will probably be flagged up and then followed up by humans.
So don't talk about Bombs 9-11 etc.

If you're talking to a female friend you can start talking about periods etc and get really gory...and lmao about it, knowing at the other end whoever is listening is probably cringing and trying not to puke!! I would say theres a strong chance that if your chap is talking about blowing stuff up over the phone that its triggering a voice recognition system (Echelon). It supposedly monitors all communication, detecting key words and recording the chat and also flagging it for human ears. Dodgy stuff. It wouldn't surprise me if all our comms are continually monitored and recorded on a computer system to generate profile of us - I know thats a bit in the realms of Max Headroom but in this day and age, a little paranoia is health lol.

It is mainstream fact that your mobile phone for instance can be used to record a room conversation and bulk upload it to wherever while you use it to make a phone call. I never keep my phone in the same room, not that I ever say anything dodgy but you never know.

Yes that is also possible. People could also use other words for such things too.

I know nothing of how such a system works but perhaps it will kick in after several triggers rather than using one word only. For example it may only work if bomb and kill are used in the same call. Who knows for sure.

When the eavesdropping system picks up a word, it flags it with the conversation being recorded. The conversation would then be scrutinised by a human and if necessary, the number would become high profile and the system would treat it differently, recording all conversations and links with maybe a human operator assigned. Thats only my speculation btw from what I've picked up from other people and books.

I guess having my own opinion in here and asking too many questions at times is annoying for some, especially when they just want to believe stuff that they cant prove or have absolutely no understanding of. What do I know though, I am only technician with a background in electronics. Maybe I am not of the calibre of the techincal experts in here who gain their understanding by readind a few pages on the internet. The only thing I dont get is why such high calibre people are often in mundane, poorly paid jobs, often on the dole, rather than being at the forefront of the technical world. Maybe I am well paid to know nothing :rolleyes:

...that is'nt the situation here,all phones are digital unless requested.There is still analogue support,but it's slow and the clicks only happen when you dial.

and already then the tech was such that you cant tell when there are ears on the line


the people I knew had phone company connections who kept eyes
for whos line was and whos wasnt
most of us were

the ptb even tapped into SIX phones in booths in the lobby
of a restaurant where persons met for breakfast or lunch on
Broadway midtown NYC !


we were all sent word not to use those phones
there was a time when the three letter people wanted
info on another person and cointelpro and see eye aye
were also interested

I cautioned a couple of friends I would call and start spinning
a tale to upset the ears

over two days I made five calls

we had a good time embellishing
the 'parties' we attended together


all fantasy

weeks later when I was picked up for questioning again
one of the 'interviewers' accepted that IF I knew anything
they werent going to to get it and had NO interest in
any of my games so they were ready to let it go

we could see them at thier fav bar telling other 'enforcement'

make up an gossipy story NO ONE knows but us,

tell it on the phone
and wait

within two to three weeks someone from out of town
who didnt know the names we made up would come by
and start telling our little made up story as TRUTH
as THEY personally know the people involved!

NYC at that time had a small town flavor and people knew
each other by connex if not personally so faked names
involved in some gossipy story would be known to locals
but not out not towners


we never gave away our little game but had private laughs
at peoples rush to spread gossip about non existent persons!

the phones serve a vital place in our lives
but as I was cautioned often when I was a neophyte in
NYC machinations
and it is more urgent in these times..

NEVER say anything on a phone you dont

This was in the 60's

and already then the tech was such that you cant tell when there are ears on the line


the people I knew had phone company connections who kept eyes
for whos line was and whos wasnt
most of us were

the ptb even tapped into SIX phones in booths in the lobby
of a restaurant where persons met for breakfast or lunch on
Broadway midtown NYC !


we were all sent word not to use those phones
there was a time when the three letter people wanted
info on another person and cointelpro and see eye aye
were also interested

I cautioned a couple of friends I would call and start spinning
a tale to upset the ears

over two days I made five calls

we had a good time embellishing
the 'parties' we attended together


all fantasy

we knew we were causing some people severe distress :D:rolleyes:

weeks later when I was picked up for questioning again
one of the 'interviewers' accepted that IF I knew anything
they werent going to to get it and had NO interest in
any of my games so they were ready to let it go
but hinted they would still be listening


I said "OH you were on that line too?
we thought it was only feds so we were talking
just for them..."
two of them blushed

one said 'those are some parties you and your friends go to!'
I laughed and didnt give it away to them
let them have thier fantasies
their work is so denigrating anyway



we had many little embarrassing bits we used on the phones
to make it hard for them to hear and still work
we could see them at thier fav bar telling other 'enforcement'
people how disgusting we are !
not to say how disgusting it is to eavesdrop on peoples privacy

we learned to speak a lingo to get our message across without
it being deciphered


also I used the phones to send out gossip
to make more business.


we did little tests
make up an gossipy story NO ONE knows but us,

tell it on the phone
and wait

within two to three weeks someone from out of town
who didnt know the names we made up would come by
and start telling our little made up story as TRUTH
as THEY personally know the people involved!

NYC at that time had a small town flavor and people knew
each other by connex if not personally so faked names
involved in some gossipy story would be known to locals
but not out not towners


we never gave away our little game but had private laughs
at peoples rush to spread gossip about non existent persons!

the phones serve a vital place in our lives
but as I was cautioned often when I was a neophyte in
NYC machinations
and it is more urgent in these times..

NEVER say anything on a phone you dont
want the whole world to know

but you can use it to twist some tails and have some laughs ! :p
what is life without creating some laughs

but they are there all the time

well, the incident was more to do with my mom getting calls from some creep, this used to happen at regular intervals- often in the night, almost 3 to 4 times a week. even though we had a caller id system, it was difficult to zero in on a number because the calls would be made from different lines.

my mom was hell bent on f*cking the man's life up, so we filed a formal complaint with the cops, had to have our calls monitored so the person could be nabbed. so that's where the phone tapping thing comes in... they attached a lineman's handset to our home instrument (phone with cord) and a digital audio recorder to our cordless handset (i think it comes in various capacities; not sure how much the device in my place could hold).

this was a couple of months back, and we listened to all the conversations to compile it as evidence for further use... yeah, that was a prety f*cked up time, but getting back to the topic- we never heard any clicking sounds during the recordings.

...same here,back in 2000 with my satanist buddies ringing up,S set-up a police trace on the home phone,I changed the number a couple of times,silent of course,but you know,they kept ringing.The procedure was different to you,we had to leave the hand-set off for 20 seconds after the prankster called,then dial a special number,and it was stored.But police can see silent numbers no matter what.

Another thing, I suppose I might have been mentioned before so apologies if it has, and not really recommended as it could turn out nasty but state that the mixture of the explosives is almost perfect, the attack will happen in about an hour. Get out of the house quickly and watch around the corner!:D

it does seem plausible that the clicking sound might be a move to try and scare/ intimidate the people who are having the conversation in the first place; perhaps, to incite fear or compel him/her to be on their guard.

I have made a note of whether a word could trigger this, and to be honest, it happens during really boring "I had a really nice dinner" type conversations, so who knows.

We don't sell drugs, take drugs or deal in stolen goods or anything, so I honestly cannot understand why tptb would want to monitor our conversations.

If it was some random bod doing it for a laugh, I would have thought they would have got bored by now, cause it's not like we do phone sex (you don't want to if you hear the sound of a receiver being picked up during calls - but maybe we should) this has been going on since about April last year.

I have noticed the increased appearance of black cars with tinted windows on the road, which could be anything until you see one drive away at high speed with police lights flashing in the rear window (keep an eye out for them). I noticed one of these behind me when i was driving at least twice now and made deliberate maneuvers including stopping the car in a layby to watch what would happen. these black cars go very well with the intimidating black police armor that is worn now.
