I can't say that I have always agreed with Tony Benn, but on this issue I certainly do. The BBC has indeed capitulated a deference to both Israeli and home grown pressure...shame, shame, shame on the BBC...and indeed to any network that does not show the appeal!

...............and yet they repeatedly call for aid in war torn Africa, who under Mugabi's regime has been bought to its knees. Their not so worried all that aid will fall in his hands, now , are they ? At christmas time the appeal ads for african aid are all over the tv, bbc included. in fact, i think its the ONLY time the Beeb does adverts.

My oh my, is it my imagination, or is the good ol' Beeb (what we english call the BBC) constantly lately being shown for its true colours :D

Exactly,and on another note,how much money donated to any charity actually filters down to those for whom it was intended?
Take the Tsunami for example,a raft of so-called Aid Agencies skimmed-off huge percentages for their own "overheads".I wish I was still in contact with the person who gave me all the names and stats.
The Salvation Army were the only organisation who handed-over 100% to the Tsunami victims.
