Hello dear inhabitants of this forum. I am the other member in this band. We work really hard to make our music and it saddens me if we are to be banned because of this sad misunderstanding. Please be understanding of where we come from and unban our Gareth Icke moniker so we can mainly use that as a channel to deepen everyones understanding of our music and the knowledge that lies within. Gareth Icke has been our bandname for over 6 months, got nothing to do with taking the piss..

We we're actually shooting the shit with our friends from t3h omfgstfuplzr5 and toying with bandnames, went from godhead(too pretentious metal-like) to son of the godhead(as a j/k interlude) to David Icke (since were all conspiracynutters anyway..) Then we thought David Icke as a bandname might present a few problems so someone suggested the son of the son of the godhead, and from there we ended up with Gareth Icke and stuck with it. We've performed under that moniker and are recording our debut-release for Krakilsk records as we speak..

Quite funny to see the real Gareth on this forum but as our disclaimer on our site reads:

Disclaimer: Gareth Icke(tm) is a bandname, any similarities with events or people, real or ficticious, is purely coincidental.

Please, people. stop putting evil intentions behind our bandname. we are all just one bunch of happy fluffy loverboys making music, noone is stirring up shit or what you foulmouths might claim. I have been, with my band-mate, making music under this moniker for a long time, as he said. There are a lot of bandnames named after "persons names", fictional and not. And i bet there are loads of people named Gareth Icke all over the globe, you don't see them complaining now do you? This has gone too far! For arguments sake; Can you please choose another forum name "people is a fruit" because a good friend of mine actually is named that as his christian birth name, he would not be happy to see it misused in a setting like this. Also the grammer of your name kind of gives away your ignorance in these matters. I hope that clarifies a lot. Thank you very mich buchannonfodder(omg a pun on mitch buchanan, SUE ME PLIX). please don't take this out on innocent krakilsk though, they are a hardworking cdr-company only trying to make money from having cheap immigrants with needles as tools put small holes(the 1's and 0's) in cheap CDr's, like instead of burning them, because it's actually cheaper, and they don't make as much noise as a CDr burner. And even if we we're the only ones, whats wrong with our bandname? Most people havent a clue who Icke is anyway, let alone his son.. Or do we have to follow some rules about what is "acceptable" for a bandname?

It is one thing to come on this forum posing as a charecter from a TV show (Father Ted for instance) or picking the name of a famous deceased person (Elvis or "King" for instance), because clearly it is obvious to all you are NOT that person. It is quite another to pose as a person still active on the Internet such as Michael Tsarion or Gareth Icke. In addition to that, it showed a great lack of respect for both David and his son to use that name on this forum without qualification, regardless of whether you have a band of that name or not.

One more point worth considering - If you are seriously considering recording your band under Gareth Icke, it may be worthwhile looking into the ins and outs of copyright as there is already an artist writing and recording material with that name.

There's no band called Gareth Icke out there, we already checked (and are already signed and recording under said moniker) . besides the actual gareth lives in the UK, we don't. And nor David or Gareth have any special claims to the Icke name legally speaking, as our disclaimer clearly states:
