Well, this isn't the same void described by people using strong drugs --or is it?-- but regardless it's damned interesting.

Thats not the void that I mean anyway

I think that thats a different after life realm that he is describing

The actual void is pure consciosness: At this point, I found myself in a profound stillness, beyond all silence. I could see or perceive FOREVER, beyond Infinity.

I was in the Void.

I was in pre-creation, before the Big Bang. I had crossed over the beginning of time/the First Word/the First vibration. I was in the Eye of Creation. I felt as if I was touching the Face of God. It was not a religious feeling. Simply I was at one with Absolute Life and Consciousness.

Yeah, I don't know why I suggested it was. But, when we had the conversation about the void, I thought that it lacked consciousness too. I wonder what the nature of the consciousness is. That is to say, is it Being-Knowledge-Bliss as Ramana Maharshi states?

Btw, we are having a discussion on the same level in the Religion section. Maybe you have something to add.

Yeah I think the author of the website, although a good webside (NDE research) has his definitions messed up. This void he is describing is more akin to the "hell realms" that some people experience when they die, rather then the actual void which is the sum totaliy of all existance itself.

I do think that the void is Being-Knowledge-Bliss and maybe more, from ramanas descriptions of his experiences Im not sure whether he reached the highest level of this, maybe indeed there are infinite levels. Words words words :Z

Ill have alook at that other thread to sounds interesting :)

Having gone through about 80-90 percent of that web site, yes indeed he does have his definitions mixed up. He references to experiencers of the hell realm void and mixes them up with experiencers of THE void.
