Is it legal to travel abroad on a passposrt in my maiden name if the tickets are my old name too? Anyone know?

i wouldn't have thought it was illegal, i think your passport name has to match the name on the tickets? If it does (as you said) then there shouldn't be a prob lol

Just to clarify it is certainly ok to travel on a passport in your maiden name if the tickets are in the same name too. It's when you have differing names (or even not quite spelt correctly) that they don't like it & make you rebook tickets etc!

This reminds me, I need to get a passport and I'll have to go to one of there interviews to prove I'm not with Al-Qaeda. :mad:

Why do you need an interview honey? Is it your first application? If so you only need 2 pics (not I AM ME ones either, lol!!;)), these need to be countersigned by someone in 'authority' doctor, teacher, solicitor etc) & full birth certificate...

Yes it's my first time. I've never left Alcatraz (The British Isles) yet!
Thanks for that, I'm sure i read somewhere that they are starting to interview people soon for it.

jeez!! do they interview all passport applications? mine has run out and i do need a new one asap as i dont want them developing even more technology and requirements like biometrics for the passports or i'll end up not gettin one out of principal!!! im seething that i didnt get a new passport before october last yr or i wouldnt have had to have a f**king chip in it!! :mad: but i better get cracking!!! :D

Don't worry honey, you don't need an interview yet:) Yeah I'm not too happy about my chip either, but if having one means there's a way to get off this shitty island then I'm all for it, LOL!!;)
I'd get moving on it soon tho babe if I were you. I'll bring a renewal form with me on Sunday...:)

Yeah I'm ok man! I sometimes do it every now and again. If i can get myself really tired, I have a better chance of inducing a lucid dream! One of my favorite activities. :)

Try doing four days if you can its awesome havent done it in years but it gives you amazing visions and insights, it is a native indian ritual :D
