Hey all,

Just was wondering if anyone had any good advice on sleeping or things you can do before going to bed to help you sleep better. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, and a herniated disk in my lower back which is pinching a nerve. Any advice would be great considering EVERY doctor ive ever been to "Cant find anything wrong"

thanks,

Shepard

Hi,

Try soaking in a warm bath with two cups of epsom salts.

Lavender oil is relaxing, a little on a hanky at the side of your bed can help.

Also a lettuce sandwich

Hope these help

That's terrible, not being able to sleep. I have had insomnia on and off for years. I like to use some lavender linen and room spray in my bedroom. The scent is very relaxing. I also like to make a cup of "sleepy time" or "dreamland" tea, when I can't sleep. Different stores will carry it under different names depending on the brand. It's a mix of a few different herbal ingredients including peppermint and chamomile, which are known to help a person sleep. If it's your back that's bothering you and that's what's keeping you up, maybe try putting a pillow behind, or under yourself in a way that you will be more comfortable. :)

Get yourself an air ionizer. with negative ions in the air you'll sleep like a freaking baby.

Fibromyalgia i think is something else in disguise. Usually mercury poisoning and candida albicans. If you address this problem im pretty sure you'll progress. Doctors are shit and im sorry you've been labelled with that illness. You been labelled with celiac disease yet?

I have problems sleeping too due to my mercury poisoning. Patrish suggested Epsom salts. After bathing in those you'll sleep for a week. Do be careful not to stay in too long though and drink lots of water. Good luck.

My brother has fibromyalgia and from what I thought the whole irregular sleeping pattern is part of it, but there have been some little hints on here that its something else, can anyone explain this more?

Have you tried some tiger balm? ive not been getting off to sleep very well lately and finding a touch of this on my temples helps a bit.

all the best with it all.

Essential oil of lavender in an oil burner and in a hot bath. Try Valerian/Valeriana in a tincture form, it's absorbed more easily. Good night!

Two friends of mine have Fibromyalgia and are of a similar age to me Mid 30's. They are getting better and how.

1. Gluten Free/Yeast Free diet with aim of killing candida albicans
2. Getting amalgam fillings removed

Of course Fibromyalgia groups don't want discuss these issues. You know that their 'disease' is curable. With note to not sleeping at night. That would be your brothers thyroid which is being screwed up by the toxicity in his body. This affecting his adrenal glands and cortisol levels so his whole sleep pattern is thrown out of wack. Don't bother asking the GP to do thyroid tests they will come back fine because they never run tests for the T4/T3 levels which will show the true nature of his messed up endocrine system. He will get TSH and nothing else.

It's the same old crap with Fibromyalgia. Sorry if im being aggressive about this but if he wants his health back he seriously has to stop listening to doctors. I've seen what dietary changes and amalgam replacement can do. If he can't afford the amalgam replacement start the diet. He can then at least get that side of things in order.

from what I gather of FM theres sually some kind of 'trauma', often in childhood but not necessarily where it can have its roots in.......FM is not what it seems....the candida albicans also an offshoot which requires physically rebalancing and it totally valid but there is something more to this from what i've gathered.....

I always sneak one under the duvet at the bottom of the bed about ten minutes before I retire and that way it's all toasty when I climb in. :D
