What i think it was for me was the time i nearly drowned out at Piha in the surf. Not long after that i was involved in a bad car accident. Those two events started me thinking and then one day i was given a book to read. It was by a christian Barry Smith and the book was called final notice. That was in 1990. What i read in the book really freaked me out. I could see that what he was saying was really happening in the world. I'm not a christian so i took all the Christianity in it with a grain of salt. After that i started reading magazines called Nexus. I haven't read a David Icke book yet but i'm going to as soon as i can.
Anyway, thats what started me off on this journey of discovery for the truth.
I must be learning something cause all the hate that was inside me eating away at me like acid is all gone and now all i feel is peace & love. Sad aye :D

What a wild beach to go swimming at, that West Coast wind creates the meanist off shore. Nice to see another westy here, howzit goin tickles. Chur chur.
I've always had freaky dreams, that came true, stuff that I knew was gonna happen, wierd and unwelcome. Never thought too much of it when I was a kid, thought everyone experienced the same. Growing up, made me realise different. Then in 1986 after ignoring as much as I could, a dear friend was leaving to go on her OE, before she left she gave me a Shakti Gawain book. Living in the light. (Although looking at it now Shakti was probably a Freemason) hence why I never read another one of her books. That was the beginnging and I haven't stopped searching. Knew I didn't want to be apart of any organised religion, they just all seemed so false.
One of the things you spoke of thats resonated with me is that I almost drowned twice when I was under the age of 10. On seperate occassions, both by being dragged out by rips in knee high water, while my dad surfed. Near death must have something to do with steering towards enlightenment. But I wonder what the drowning thing means? Salty sea water in your lungs, ain't nothing like it.

Once i got past the struggle for air and started to sink i had the most amazing feeling of peace come over me. I saw the tunnel of white light and was starting to head that way when my mate who happened to be a powerfull bloke since he played league professionally grabbed me and pulled me out. That night at a party i saved him from being stabbed so the favor was returned.
The car accident was another thing that made me ask why. Then theres all the close calls i've had riding my bike around Auckland traffic (it would of been my fault, i should of kept my speed down).
Or,.... it just could be that i'm getting older.....:)

I suppose my awakening started in 1997, I went to my first UFO conference in London, saw Larry Warren and was amazed by the Rendlesham Forrest incident in December 1980:) Then when my personal contact started in June 2001, I knew we were not alone and that life would never be the same again.........

The funny thing is through out my whole life as long as i can remember i've been anti-establishment. It wasn't till i read the book that really kick started me into opening my mind. Then about 8 months ago i think i watched David Icke on google video (had broadband connected) and I've been soaking it up as much as i can. You do have to filter thru it all though.
I think its time i went on another spirtual journey.

What started you on the journey of awakening
Anyway, thats what started me off on this journey of discovery for the truth.
Hi tickles, you and I have a lot in common it seems ......
What started you on the journey of awakening?
Being born.
I have never been near drowning, but by the time I was six I had saved someone else
from drowning. And have done it again since, I have always wanted to know about that
inner peace that others get when experiencing drowning, though I have experienced it
myself once on liberty caps, and at other times by my will alone.
I have been aware of things all my life, like at 3 yrs old I knew how to read. my mum says I taught
myself to read, but I dont think I did, I was just aware of all the knowledge of history, I cannot
read any other languages as such, but to be honest, I always know what is being said.
Like I say, I cannot put my finger on exactly when I began, but I can put my finger on
certain events that have been like milestones in my life, 1994 was a massive milestone so
has this year, indeed, this year has been the most remarkable, where I have no more
doubt, no more fear, no more confusion. However, having said that, I, like most still get
distracted occasionally.
You tickles have commented on a thread somewhere around here and have made a
similar mistake, as to being distracted, as have quite a few on this site. If asked I will email
you about it :)
And in support of auron (not that he needs it) I did try psychadelics in the
80's. and surely they do open doors aplenty. I recommend much safer psychadelics these
days, they are there if you can find them. Or should I say if you know where to look, or
even if you know what you are looking for.
Also it will be interesting to see if you are both from auckland too ...

I'm interested to know about these things lol
Are they your own crop there? Jesus, you're a dab hand with the mushrooms lol in that case! They're very impressive, you sure you got enough lol :D
getting back to the thread topic...my awakening began when i read the book which is my avatar pic (by william cooper) after my other half stumbled on it. I guess i've always questioned things, the world, establishment too, i've always been a bit of a rebel :D And i guess coming through a lot of tough times in my life taught me the things i needed to know and opened me up to the fact that there is so much more than we are told...just how strong our human spirit is for one and well, things in the world never really made sense to me, until i found out about the NWO of course! Now everything makes sense!
so yeah that's how my awakening lol came about
My OH always questioned things too and while he was at law/business school studying economics he saw how everything is all a system, everything is fake, that all the students there were just equipped to be slaves to that system and nothing else... he couldn't even stay there after he realised this for sure, while everyone around him just swallowed it all, blinded by making money and having big cars.
I think it's really interesting how different people have come to find out the truth and find themselves on this path to freedom road. :)

I started to wake up when my sister gave me a book called "Out of body experiences" in the late 80s'. I also read and kept re-reading some stuff on near death experiences such as "Life After Life". But it was in the autumn of 1991 when a friend suggested to read David's Book "The Truth Vibrations" that I was never the same again. Even though I was in the UK (Scotland) I never heard of his turquoise period before then so I missed it although I heard people talking about it and didn't pay much attention to it. I was fasinated by what he talked about visualising light pumping into the earth's energy grid, ley lines. I came across a book called "Creative Visualisation" and "Living in the Light" also her book "The Path of Transformation". Creative Visualisation was very powerful for me at the time as it explained how we can use our imagination to create the reality we want.
Why do you say she is a freemason??? I thought it was just for men?
If you have read her autobiography "Return to the Garden" and her experiences in Hawaii with the dolphins. I don't think she is a freemason. She seemed to be rebellious of authority to. Some of her inspiration comes from the Hindu traditions.
But please tell me more. Thanks.

I seemed to always see this reality different than most people around me. I would see energy have out of body exeperiences etc. I started to see ufos when I was 12 and still do to this day. I guess seeing these things so much made it even more impossible for me to go to sleep like everyone else to fit in. I like to attract weird experiences to myself I guess. But, in the last 4 years I've gotten far more serious about researching what I'm in the middle of here. I just felt like now was the time to try to figure it out.

Extreme heat destroys the psilocybin (active chemical) in the mushrooms, so It wouldn't be worth doing. Best just to eat them!

My 1st acid trip when I ws 18 really blew the doors off the hinges for me .. You know when you can just look at a person or situation and see right through the bullshit in a split second and then just burst into riotous laughter at the ridiculousnss of it all
But even before that I'd had an inner gnawing that things were not right and I instinctively used to rebel at anyone or anything that followed the flock when there seemed to be no good reason to do so other than that was what "we were supposed to do".
Since those heady days of youth however I got stuck in the marriage, kids, mortgage trap but since divorce I've been able to open out a bit again.
Now there are so many things I want to persue it is hard to know where to start but I am trying to get into dreaming and if Festival Spirit would like to share his knowledge of "kinder physchedelics" then I would be most interested to know about them.

I had p.t.s.d, complicated grief and elements of d.i.d, basically all the consequence of losing someone close to me, and the stuff that happned in the following years. When i eventually realised i had major problems (took me 6 years) and seeked help and thankfully got good support and help. The process of confronting everything and the places i went mentally are un-describable, i couldnt find the words to describe it.During this journey i had ( and to some degree still am having) I went very deep and went searching for answers.I still think that ive been to places in my mind that i shouldnt of! Anyways my journey ended with me buying a few david icke books , and my mind and world are opening up more by the day now.

lol, may I recommend using a vaporiser if you intend to smoke them mate, (not that I think you would break the law in such a way. A vaporiser keeps the heat down to the minimum, Its thermostat is set for thc though so not sure if they work, having not tried it. And vaporisers were not thought of (I think) when I was smoking liberty caps.

Excellent post, I agree most people 'think' they were awakened by acid, but in actual fact the acid just reminded you of what you already knew. Glad you have found it within yourself to 'open out a bit' mate, Oh I feel the pull also, I would find it a pleasure to share my knowledge with you, just pm me and perhaps put your email addy in it?
And about the stomach and shrooms' as Iaaia has already pointed out, you dont need to ingest them to actually trip, it is possible that just smelling them can give you a trip. If you are open minded enough and aware of many possibilities. If you know how the body works and particularly the brain!

Acid is another I've never taken. I've never been able to get hold of any. But i have read a lot into it over the years, and you're right; the acid merely acts like a key, to open those many doors that have been padlocked tightly shut ever since we were children.

True again. It's not the dosage that's important, it is knowing how to open up those hidden levels within yourself. To do that takes time and practice.
If you are determined enough, you can enter these states of mind without taking anything! It takes years of deep meditation. Something i am no-where near to yet!
But i always say:
Why sit crossed legged for 10 years to learn to levitate across the river, when you can get to the other side in 10 seconds by using the bridge?

hey alexph 777 :) great awakening story :)
i must have missed something though up there who are you referring to lol?
women can be freemasons too, i forget what they're called...
Hi Celtic Isis, thanks. But its not even half of it.
Oops, forgot to mention her name - I was asking why you thought Shaki Gawain is a freemason?
What you mentioned though explains something about an individual who is a new-age healer and a member of the theosphical society in Inverness, Scotland and an advocate of Alice Bailey and Elizebeth Prophet. I don't know what it is but something is just not right about the area. Findhorn might be ok on the surface but vibrationaly very strange. I did go to the TS a short while, nice people, but underneath - something not right. I got really bad vibes from some of the material.
Some of the meditation sessions with the healer woman I felt afterward as if my crown center had closed or connection with my true self was taken away. Whatever was going on I certainly put a stop to. Inverness area I felt if I was being psychically attacked. I'm glad I left the area but nice country side and full of nice people
Part of the healing sessions was invoking archangel micheal and st germain. Which I've now come to understand is a mind control program. Germain is probably Reptilian. When I got some bad vibes from Elizibeth Clare Prophet and her books - I started doing some research. When I did some research on the internet it was surprising to find out that it was a new-age religious dooms day cult where they built underground nuclear bunkers stocked up with guns in Montana. Prophets organisation, lighthouse simmit - now defunct. But it attracted a mass of followers and still does. The Prophet's predictions of nuclear war never came true of course but then she made up other stories to back up the reasons for this. Some say it nearly became a new waco, heavens gate or jonestown massirce.
The organisation accumilated a fantastic amount of wealth form the followers. But I don't know where they got the money to build dunkers - they were professionaly done and design to be lived in for many months. They also owned some tanks and well as guns. The organisation had a strict code of amongst other things, no revealing cloths, no sex unless agreed beforehand with the leaders, Prophet could have sex with who ever, though. I guess if your a leader on a power trip you have to have some rights. Also no suger in diet - which of course would mean that people would be more open to suggestion. There was a host of new age rituals and other strict codes to follow.
Based on what I've read some of the followers did operate a second brain cell and when they challenged the madness, they were thrown out and treated with utter contempt - because they had given up everything to join - and now they had nothing. And left to starve on the streets. People would join the new-age cult from all over the world. It reminds me of the mormons.
The so-called "healing sessions" or meditiations that I went to that involved some of Prophets methods of invocations (chanting, etc) and germain's voliet flame. I only went to two I think - when I did some research and found the truth I didn't go again.
I felt spiritually raped. Never again will I let anything into my personal space unless it is with upmost integretary and it is music to my intuition. Of course no harm has come to me but I feel stupid even though I only went to two violet flame and uncle chicken feather winged micheal sessions. But I thought this is what happens when people do not think for themselves and have a brain of their own. The others who attended to meditiations - no of them had bothered to check out any of the material that they were doing.
Sorry to go off topic, ok so why is Shaki Gawain a freemason? :)

Knew I didn't want to be apart of any organised religion, they just all seemed so false.
and wheres jaffa land?????
Why do you say she is a freemason??? I thought it was just for men?
If you have read her autobiography "Return to the Garden" and her experiences in Hawaii with the dolphins. I don't think she is a freemason. She seemed to be rebellious of authority to. Some of her inspiration comes from the Hindu traditions.
But please tell me more. Thanks.
Correct me if I am wrong, Is this what you were referring to?
Hope that helps ;)
Once i got past the struggle for air and started to sink i had the most amazing feeling of peace come over me. I saw the tunnel of white light and was starting to head that way when my mate who happened to be a powerfull bloke since he played league professionally grabbed me and pulled me out. That night at a party i saved him from being stabbed so the favor was returned.
Edit, Jafa = Just Another Fuckin Aucklander :D
ngawaka19 ......... are you both aucklanders then?
tickles the swiftness of the cycle of repaying the debt of life to your friend was something eh?
Cool when you can bring the cycles down to that short!
being aware of circles and cycles could be thought of as a start of a journey of awakening, and could just bring a thread back on topic lol.

Unlike David and many of you, my journey has been a long, gradual process that is not yet complete (probably it never will be!). I've always been a bit of an eccentric and a maverick. I was branded a weirdo, and still am, never more so than today! My mother was a bit like me in a way and you can see that if you read the poem of hers I posted. I got into protesting and rebellion back when I was a kid. One of my earliest memories was my parents taking me along on Ban the Bomb marches. As a small child the prospect of nuclear war horrified me! As a teenager I got into the anti-Poll Tax campaign and was inspired by its success.
I was brought up a Catholic, but never really thought about spirituality in spite (or because!) of that. I eventually stopped practicing, coming to see the flaws in the Catholic faith as irreconcilable with the world as I saw it. I very much regret having my daughter baptized; I should have let her be until she was old enough to make up her own mind. It's only in the last 7 or 8 years that I've got into conspiraceis and subsequently discovered David's work.

Yeah, freaky that. I guess it just wasn't mine or his time. What goes round comes round. :)

Some say it nearly became a new waco, heavens gate or jonestown massirce.

wow you're a very sensitive person for picking up on energies alexphh777...i know what you mean though, i lived in a small village in ireland for 10 years of my life up until i was 17 and well hey were the worst damn years of my life. Now i can't even go back there, i've only been back twice when we were burying my mum last year, up until then i adn't been back in 7 Years...the place just makes me suffocate, it's an extremely depressing place but like, it must be on some serious bad ley lines or something, i don't know. It's incredible though how we pick up on the bad vibes sin't it.
wow you've had some incredible experiences there, scary ones too, i'm shocked lol

hi hagbard :)
i think all of our journeys have been long ones..i knwo i said that looking back so much stuff has happened to me that i've come through, it was to make me question things and make me free as i am today...of course i didn't find out about the manipulation, or NWO hidden hand behind evets until reading the book i mentioned...but id say all of us who have come upon this stuff have been nudged and put in situations to make us this way.

I "woke up" the night I stumbled across Conspiracy of Silence on Google video almost a year ago, about the Franklin Cover-up. Then I discovered the lectures of David Icke. I’m glad of it, but I’m also in a very hard place right now. I had been an evangelical Christian for 24 years up until then, and now I’m not sure what to believe in any more. My religion, my politics, my Republican Party…Now I doubt virtually everything I used to be convinced of so strongly that I thought it was absolute fact. Satanic pedophiles in high office? Good God! What is all this leading to? Can anyone tell me that?

It's leading to absolute freedom my friend. We must face the darkest parts of ourselves in order to free our selves from them.

I totally agree that we all have to face these dark truths - and that we discover them in each other... and in just being alive of course, chosing to be here when we did. think we exist partly as constructs of language (this is classic Lacanian theory) and so we depend on what we experience with others , to understand who and what we are. Relationships are a catalyst of change and development. I'd like to know what others think about their relationships.
About relationships, I discovered something of great interest a few years ago. If you think of the qualities that exist in your relationship - in other words the positive and negative aspects of your partner, as they appear to you. First, on a piece of paper, write down all the postive things that you feel about your mother and father (thier respective good and bad points as they appear to you.. Then on another sheet, write down all the negative points about your parents.
Now, look at the positive things. Compare them to the positives that you feel about your partner. Next, look at all the negatives. And compare them to what you feel about your partner.
You may well find, that you have chosen a partner who has all the negative characteristics of your two parents, and almost none of the positives.
What you need, is a partner who has the positves. But you have chosen someone with all the negaitives. Now think about your other - previous - partners or boy/girlfriends. Is it the same?
Just as we chose our partner, so as to learn this (sometimes by a very long process) and to overcome the bonds and ties that force us into this realisation, so - before being born - we chose our parents, to learn from them the positives that will help us to outgrow both them - and our partners. We are here to outgrow these choices and to develop beyond them. You will seem the same problems in the horoscopes of the same people.
Let me know your reactions to this...? Just learning about our parental choices before birth will tell us all we need to know about our relationship problems throughout life... until we learn and outgrow. We are just adolescents until that has been done.
What do you think?
