If you try to imagine nothingness, all you can come up with is the color black, but black is a thing. To know what nothing looks like, pay attention beyond the end of your field of vision. (up, down, left, right, but not straight)

I once saw nothing float by past my 10th storey window , i commented to people in the room with me at the time that i had seen nothing fall past the window. They said ok well i saw nothing to , but i insisted it was nothing a whole bunch of nothingness wich was a word they hadnt heard at the time , it really was nothing as some form of no thing it was invisible yet i saw it hard to explain but there you go .:D

Nothing's a strange... nothing. Except it's not strange at all because it isn't anything, and it's not even that--it's nothing.

When I meditate, I don't look front into the black area into my eyelids either. It's like I drift my mind away to a slower, but higher state.

I have noticed that if you look into the back of your eyelids when your eyes are closed (better in a dark room)...it's not black. I see billions of atom like molecule things...try it. We assume it's black cos we know there is no light entering the eye because they are closed.

It's like when our eyes are open and there is no light we think (maybe our brain chooses to just 'see' black until we actually acknowledge that it isn't) to see 'black'. If you look closely...it's not black...but millions of little coloured atoms.

If it seems like I'm struggling to get the point accross it's because i'm a little pfissed! :D

And i'm not crazy either...it does it when i'm sober too. ;)

Hmm... You're right. I thought of nothing as a point with zero size, but a point is not nothing! Zero size is still something. The same with empty space. Empty space is still something. Nothing cannot be anything in space.

Nah I agree with you. I see colours all the time when my eyes are shut. Blue, green, red, yellow, etc.

I've always asked my parents since I was small why I see colours when I close my eyes.

I like to turn all those colours you talk about into a black screen, by that time I am ready to roll the blockbuster that is my videographic memory, the blackness is the movie screen, the blockbuster that is the movie on the screen, If I want to see nothing, I go to certain parts of my memory.

The therapeutic qualities of nothing are huge, I have several nothings to refer to, each has its own qualities, to be used for many things, healing, confidence, all sorts of things.

Of course we are all able to do this, some will choose to, and some won't, but I love you all anyway :)

this is not an accusation aimed at you, did they ever answer you when you asked?

the answeris we are taught by education, that we see nothing when our eyes are closed, classic brainquashing, obviously you were far more aware :)

And what about the universe, is there an end ?, no!
What should that be, a wall ?
The wall is something and whats behind the wall..
It's all an illusion..
