here's an article on project phoenix, i'll post some excerpts (i have heard before that this is all bullshit, but some parts are really interesting, i'd like to hear your thoughts:

The Rainbow experiment had disassembled the physical and biological structure of human beings. Crew members had melded with bulkheads and changed beyond recognition.
