Light and darkness are oppsite side of the same coin. Shadow defines light. It is within my own darkness that I learn the most valuable things in life. Henceforth, I embrase my own darkness as evidence of my humanity.

Forget frames such as 'light' and 'dark'. Light/dark, good/evil, black/white, up/down etc etc all divisionist, dualist, relativist terms.

Just BE........

i wouldn't say darkness actually is the opposite of light, because darkness dosent have its own independent existence.
Darkness is simply the absence of light, not the presence of something.

I agree what others have said, just be.

I love the darkness, I love the night. But I try to be a being of light. Our existence is very contradicotry, but don't be put off, humans have the mental capacity to comprehend such complexities and contradictions. (IF you forget everything you ever read in any text book ever that is!!)

Darkness and light are not the same thing tho.

A room that is pitch black can be lit and filled with light and hope from just one candle.

A room that is full of light cannot be turned dark by one... errr anti-candle?
The light is ten times stronger than the dark.

But then again, if you are dark, then the dark is your light and the light is your dark.

We have been programmed to add a value judgement to such things; don't judge, just be and know! :cool:

½pint of water in a pint glass. is the glass (a) half full (b)half empty(c)both We are talking FULL or Empty here but both enter the sum.Its not dualist,the abstract button is missing from the key board,but I come up with 3.

Light and dark are qualities not quantities.

I like to call it "worst case scenario" and "best case scenario" and they happen breath to breath, moment to moment, thought to thought.

yes .light and dark are shades,different qualities,meeting in the middle most prob,but lets not get into that right now, its a bit of a gray area.The quintaties are mind boggling,I dont have the words, so watch these qualities and quantities of light before utube make it unavailable. ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaA4KIPjghQ ;
