'The fun of talk is to find out what a man really thinks, and then contrast it with the enormous lies he has been telling all dinner and perhaps, all his life?'
Benjamin Disraeli (I found it as a quote in the novel: T shirt and Genes, by Richard Asplin).

Just thought: we can tell ourselves over and over again that we believe in Love and Peace, etc, but what most/all of us REALLY believe, deep down, is that life is aggressive and out to get you, and if you don't defend yourself you ultimately cease to exist, one way or another. This partly/largely unconscious dichotomy is a major cause of stress/insanity in us? and certainly explains why we react as we do to any threat, however small it may appear on the outside?

This is an interesting subject. Although we are now inclined to think that thought = reality in a somewhat indirect way and some religions and teachers tell us that impure thoughts are counted against us, I have to believe that its ultimately the actions we undertake in the physical and emotional planes here that are the representations of our soul. And yeah, this world is full of struggle, but I think it is your right to defend yourself against the evils of the world but only when something really important is under threat.

indeed. i couldn't agree more.

and for your actions to be truly representative of a sound mind + body + spirit, you need to channel your thoughts/beliefs into practice everyday.

not as easy as it sounds. it's like that saying 'you got to be the change you want to see in the world.'

Spirit yes (through deep med and trance) but mind and body??

the body is a 3D illusion and the mind is bombarded with DNA and 3D frequency decodings and is completely filled with the equivalent of highly advanced CPU viruses.

anybody would tell you, that all 3 are connected in this realm; the mind (thought) and body(flesh) are governed by the spirit. so without the latter our actions would cease to be. that's what i really meant, i'm sorry if i wasn't clear.

as for corruption of our dna and thought processes- they've been imposed upon us; if you break free you will come to realise that you have the power to mould your mind and body in governance of the spirit.

Hey

Thanks, guys.

Anyone here read the Conversations with God books? Pinkfreud's said exactly what 'god' says - every word, action, etc, to be aligned with what you wish to manifest, etc.

I think it's the other way round - that you can only act what you believe, and the belief has to come first. And there's such a deep, deep belief here about the violent and uncaring world around us, borne out by countless experiences.

Hence the whole media/advertising blitz on everything from the 'war on terror' to the shiniest, brightest floor cleaner. The belief comes first. And here, belief is influenced by the very real-feeling agony we experience here; the belief that annihilation lies in wait for us and god doesn't care/wants to punish us. On the other hand, when we feel loved/understood/listened to, it's easy to give love/understanding, etc.

So yes, it's a circle. And it does seem that the way to break it when it's a vicious one is to think, act and behave only with love, but ... it's impossible!

I have huge suspicions about the CwG books (Centralised world Govt, anyone?). Of course, there's a lot of truth and wisdom in 'em, but ....

It's kind of CBT thought, isn't it? Reprogramme your reactions through different action taken. Such a strain ... and I don't know if it works. Like I said before, re The Secret: it's as if they're telling us about electricity, but leaving out the bit about the water and the wires ...

Yes they have been imposed on us. I believe in predetermined events so what does this tell you PF? Opens a big can of worms!
