...Wilson?
I've been given a few of his books (Masks of the Illuminati, and the Illuminatus trilogy). What are his overall views? Does he actually believe there's a conspiracy, because somebody suggested to me that he doesn't?

Lyndon LaRouche claimed he was an Illuminati leader lol.
Robert Anton Wilson, was/is one of the best.
I've seen & herd some of his info:

Robert Explains Everything
(Audio book)
To me, he believed in all sorts of 'conspiracies' and at the same time produced reasons for and against why they existed in the first place. Plus he also believes that the overwhelming good on this Earth will eventually overcome 'evil'.
If people would like to find the many audio books by Robert, download this gem (free and malware free) and run a search for him.

To me, he believed in all sorts of 'conspiracies'
At the core of his philosophy was rejecting any and all beliefs as being limiters of intelligent thought. He did intentionally inhabit various "reality tunnels" or belief systems at different times in order to learn what he could, but maintained the awareness that ultimately a belief system is "B.S." and should only be used as a tool.
While I found this approach to be extremely useful and have incorporated it into my world view, I am deeply skeptical of the motives of RAW. He constantly denied that ritual abuse occurs outside of the Catholic Church, advocating essentially the same position as the False Memory Syndrome Foundation - that countless ritual abuse survivors have been tricked by an army of hysterical therapists bent on fomenting an irrational witch hunt against innocent people.

...Wilson?
Illuminatus trilogy
Easily the best novel I've ever read. My username is a character from that book.
Wilson often says he doesn't accept one single overriding conspiracy, but he thinks there's a number of smaller ones.

He is my favorite writer of all time. He will teach you about how your mind works and make you smile as well. Try "Cosmic Trigger 1"
He says if you want to be a victim, call it a conspiracy. Your beliefs create your reality.

I really must read some more of RAW's books. I've a reading list as long as War and Peace though. It's like trying to drink out of a fire hose!
