the awakening is in full swing!!!!
I did my best to notice
When the call came down the line
Up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
And sometimes I get nervous
When I see an open door
Close your eyes
Clear your heart...
Cut the cord
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance,
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye
Wish me well..
You've gotta let me go
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
Will your system be alright
When you dream of home tonight?
There is no message we're receiving
Let me know is your heart still beating
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
You've gotta let me know
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human
Or are we dancer?
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
Are we human
Or are we dancer?

It is from a quote by hunter s. thompson, in which he said that "America is raising a generation of dancers". Meaning people who do what their told in order to please, sheep following the crowd...dancing to the tune of accepted belief...human meaning free thinker...a true "humanbeing" that is, it's about humanity's awakening to the truth...
So clever!
Turns out hunter S thompson was a very clever guy...who said many interesting things...

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, fear of getting down-sized or fired because of the plunging economy, fear of getting evicted for bad debts or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer."
—"Extreme Behavior in Aspen," February 3, 2003
"Myths and legends die hard in America. We love them for the extra dimension they provide, the illusion of near-infinite possibility to erase the narrow confines of most men's reality. Weird heroes and mould-breaking champions exist as living proof to those who need it that the tyranny of 'the rat race' is not yet final."
—The Great Shark Hunt, 1979

This isn't a brag, but as soon as I heard this song I knew what it was about - so I HOPE that means that I am waking up (or am awake).
Did any others catch the meaning?

I remember reading somewhere about this guy...it wasn't good. I heard he filmed snuff films for the elite.... wasn't he killed? Ah here is a link...he was murdered. http://www.prisonplanet.com/archives/hunter_s_thompson/index.html
I might be confusing him with somebody else...i will check up on that though.

or else they could have been making him look bad...i agree though freespartacus :D He looked like 'one of Them' cocky, as if pointing out stuff about society and people because he was in the know...
I could picture him possibly involved in snuff films.
