Check out this link and tell me what you think. In the second pic, the street in the middle running east to west has a sidewalk just below it. This sidewalk seems to make the base of the pyramid with the columbus statue as the eye and the steps make up the illumination....

It's hard to see in this pic but the steps around the statue also make the pattern of a cross. Maybe I'm looking too much into this but it does seem to be a pyramid.
