What do you think that dreams are?. do you think that its psychology related and in the sense of what you think your mind/subconscious try to work your problems out. or that its something else and maybe you are interacting with yourself at a deeper level or whatever. one thing is dreams even though they are not "real" have real effects on your body when you wake up. for instance if you had a dream and in it you were pissed of at someone then you will wake up still slightly in that state(got out the wrong side of bed), so your dream as effected what you will do on that day. so if you believe in destiny then maybe dreams play a big part...

another thing iv noticed to is that in your dreams you are still you or the personality of you but maybe abit more extroverted. why in a dream were you can be lucid, fly ect do we trap ourselves with our personality and view that its real?. i think it could be like "real" life in a sense and we are capeable of many things but dont realize what we can do. its like if you wake up in a dream you become lucid but its hard to wake up in a dream because our trance state existance, we are used to not behing lucid in our lives and not behing lucid in dreams. but when you become lucid in your dreams you know that your a sleep and that you can do what ever you want and wake up. and if you become lucid in your life then i think the same would happen. consciousness becomeing aware of itself. dreams to me show us how we are our programs as icke calls it, and that we live in the trace state and are not totally there and lucid. become lucid my freinds.

thanks for your reply in advance (what if know one replys? lol) all welcome-(i couldnt spell appreshated lol who cares.

cool thread peter19!!

well my little theory about dreams from my experience is that i reckon we connect with our higher selves during sleep but i think for some reason we are not aloud to know this so we have a dream put in place just before we wake up so we dont remember or when we connect with our higher self its not something that can be stored in memory form into the brain!
i have had some extremely disturbing dreams over the last few months- not so bad now but at one stage it was all war, bloodshed, fighting, military, guns, i was always waking up really scared! also dreams about nausea, like the feeling when you go on a ferris wheel, when your stomach feels like its going to come out your mouth!! Quite often these dreams are very 'real' and affect me for several days after as if ive been really traumatised by it....
i also theorise in my head about the possibility of dreams being another dimension like another world because i often visit the same place in dreams or similar places, everything is often tinged in a mustard/greeny colour as if im looking at it through a pair of tinted glasses (not a nice place!!)!! anyway - thats my perspective....:D

I love dreaming, i like one of the lines out of an R.E.M song which goes

"I dont Sleep I Dream"

My tip as if no one as ever heard of this, eat some cheese and dream yourself away. Give it ago if you have not before.

Just had an "great" idea.

Why dont we(hehe remember that kids prog) try and concentrate on dreaming of a certain thing when you go to sleep tonight?

Maybe ridding the world of the illumies, any other ideas?

:D << eating cheese as we speak with crackers of course.

I'm along these lines. I've been reading a good book by Robert Bruce, about astral travel called "Astral Dynamics". This explains alot IMO.

It seems to me, that what you experience while dreaming is always happening. Asleep or awake. You exist multidimensionaly. That is, in all levels of consciousness. All the time. The difference is where your focal point is. I've been aware of a dream and the room around me at the same time. I've been having a realistic dream and then been hit with a beam of light from a UFO and ended up momentarily paralised, enough to shock me awake yet not brake my connection. Therefore stuck between the two.

In summary, I think that all this stuff IS REALLY HAPPENING. It is your memory download technique that is only partial. Not your experiences.
I've got way more on this kinda stuff but I have to leave it there.:D

Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce sure helped me understand a few things and how elder tribes knew of this too...

As for dreams they are difficult at best to interpretate...Sometimes meanings take awhile to understand...But I find it helps if I talk about it...:)

Who's having dreams that come true?

I've had a bunch recently that were all just mundane personal things until this weekend when i had one about an pro athlete getting hurt the day before it happend (area injured and the point in the game it occured were both accurate). I didn't remember having the dream either... i thought i saw it on TV... in fact, when i checked the box scores on the internet, i thought it was a error when it said he didn't pitch but was scheduled to the next day. My dream was wrong in that i didn't find out about the injury from the TV... but that's definately the most "prophetic" dream i've ever had... and especially surprising that it involved someone other than me... and the next day too.

I should also mention that I had this dream nursing one of the worst hangovers i've ever had in my life... if i have to get that fucked up to see the future... i'll just wait until it's the present to know what happens.

A few years ago an ex-GF of mine had a dream about me cheating on her w/ a red-haired girl at the very same time i was cheating on her w/ a red-haired girl.

I nearly got myself busted by wanting to know how many more details were in line w/ what actually occured.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuusted!

did you dump him on the spot? Or did you tell him you know what he's doing at all times so if he even THINKS about cheating on you you'll cut his wiener off in his sleep to put him in check... and lived happily ever after.

thanks for all of your replys. i think robert bruce does say something along the lines of we have higher selves and that the base level of our consciousness when we AP transfers to a higher level, or something like that. its an intresting book astral dynamics - http://www.4shared.com/network/search.jsp?searchmode=2&searchName=astral+dynamics
anyone intrested in AP william buhlmans book seems a good one too.

maybe dreams are alot to do with what robert bruce says like they communicate with you at levels were you can understand but at a symbolic level so it doesnt have be much to get across whats wanted.

premonitions i had one before where in me dream i asked me sister how much she spent on her bf for christmans and she said 40 pound in it and i asked her a couple of days later and it was that lol. here stik mate that one with your ex was abit profound i bet you thought its good she can do that but shit not with that lol.

what happens when you dont sleep?. you shut down and cant function propply, whats that because of?. so on many levels dreams are important and significant but its just like most people think they are mundane and meaningless. we go to sleep, dont know what it is and dont really care lol.

its all in the subconscious eh lottie ;)lol. here some people think dreams are just accident so what i should do is talk about me dreams, they talk about theres, and then i can find out if the dreams are about me and are sordid :D.

just say " do you know that dreams mean nothing and they go into your mind by accident" then there bound to tell me there dreams with me in, what a plan :plol.

its funny you said about icke though i dreampt before that i got him to appear and give a talk at the local school. no kids were listening it though.

... people in dreams are archetypes relevent to yourself only... instead of thinkin of Icke the bloke, think of icke as his role, what he symbolisies... possibly the god/hero/rebel/teacher archetypes... decent list here - http://www.myss.com/ThreeArchs.asp.

The Dreamer's Dictionary. by stearn robinson & tom corbett

This book seems to always turn out truth with my dreams.

Seems storms, are obstacle dreams portend a season of discontent, from which you will only recover when you realize that you are the master of your own fate.
Not very nice. Sorry mate.
I couldn't find anything on warnings.
I have been woken up with a very strange bang/crash/scream, it was frightening it turned out that at that moment my close friend and a cousin had a motorbike accident. They both survived, but the Norton 900 didn't. As I lay awake wondering what the frig that was about, I looked at the clock for the time 4.07am I didn't imagine in a million years that I had been connected to them at that moment. Wasn't til they didn't show up and the phone call came thru that I asked what time it happened, my cuz said around 4am. Yes, gapping mouth.

Hi i have always been into recalling dreams even as a child. But i used to regularly try and stay awake to see what visions i would have . I read that native americans (hate?dislike that term )used to stay awake for 4 days to invoke visions so me and my mates used to do that on a regular basis. It causes you to have dream states while awake , you go beyond sleep and feel alive and refreshed all this without the aid of drugs i may add .In recalling my dreams i went thru a period of 7 years were i wrote them down every night and still have the journals . I had a lot of dreams come true types some more obvious than others a lot i noticed after re reading them years later , they appeared to be bizzare at the time but made sense in hindsight.I found if i dreamt of a person i knew but hadnt seen for a while i would see them th next day .So dreams work on several different levels all at once .Recently i have been undergoing some intense healing treatment
and my dreams have been slipping away more than usual i recal most nights dreams for last 15 or more years and only occasionaly dont remember in fact maybe 3 or 4 nights only without any recal. One of the healers working with me said dreams are the lower astral vibration and when you work on the higher level you dont recal them so thats interesting . :D

hi mate,

maybe the "computors" malfunctioning abit?. what sort of visions did you get if you got any?. i would be intrested in hearing them, if you want to share them. i might do it one time and stay awake afew days, see if anything profound happens. 7 years aswell? good going that. iv did one for afew months so far lol.

Done a few 4 day long sleepless sessions. My god, what a headfuck... ended up talking to myself on a bus without any control... or embarrasment... won't be trying it again.
Excellent dream material (audios) from Carl Jung...

do you think you learned anything from it mate or was it just like hallucinations and really pointless?. im trying to do a few days maybe (probblys 1 day really lol) . i think a good thing if your going to do out like 4 days with out sleep is to not have to do anything in that time, or like you say youll appear abit bizzare :D. thanks for them links ill check them out.

The psychic dreams for me is when you see a peice of paper in front of you with writing on it and it makes you want to get up and write it all down, but I always end up falling back to sleep. Or when you can hear a voice telling you stuff, or astral travelling.
