Worst winter in half a century.

Nevermind all them morons who has their houses fitted with central air conditioning for Global Warming will be able to pick coconuts and mangos from the trees which Gardeners World told them to plant in the back garden because of record warm temps and Al Gore's science. The snow will cover up the solar panels and the wind turbine cam shaft will be frozen solid. But at least they will be shivering in an ethical hoome.

"Global Warming is a scientific fact you know..." *smugly looks down on people who question Al Gore while shivering to death*

Que que?

Have we a source?

2009 cold Positive Weather Solutions - Google Search

It is now completely obvious that anthropogenic global warming is not science at all, because a scientific theory makes non-obvious predictions which are then compared with observations that the average person can check for himself. AGW theory has spectacularly failed to do this. The theory has predicted steadily increasing global temperatures, and this has been refuted by experience. NOW the global warmers claim that the Earth will enter a cooling period. In other words, whether the ice caps melt, or expand --- whatever happens --- the AGW theorists claim it confirms their theory. A perfect example of a pseudo-science.

Be quite and just pay your carbon taxes to Rothschild.

Fine, I'll just be 'quite' and pay my carbon tax. Or whatever you said.

You keep with your self indulgent thread then. Thanks for the source, and your.. rather unnecessarily bitchy reply to my request for one.

Yes, it does have a lot in common with some of the sillier conspiracy theories and mystical claptrap I've seen round these parts sometimes. ;)

Global temperatures have not risen since the last El Nino event in 1998. At the moment we're in a La Nina period of cooling, the opposite of an El Nino. Some German scientists believe net warming won't start again until 2015 (hence the convenient catch-all term of "climate change", which of course is meaningless as climates always change). So they have already got their excuses ready in advance, blaming something they call the North Atlantic Oscillation: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthcomment/charlesclover/3341068/Global-warming-may-%27stop%27,-scientists-predict.html (careful with this link, can be slow to load because of 1,000 reader comments).

There is actually such a thing as the greenhouse effect and it's a good thing too because it's what stops us getting below -200C every night. What is bollocks is the politically-motivated industry which has built up around AGW. There is a certain small amount of warming associated with rises in carbon dioxide (and stronger greenhouse gases like methane) but the doomsday models that the IPCC comes up with are deliberately sexed up by political appointees on the IPCC because of vested interests.

The interesting thing about this North Atlantic Oscillation is that it has lowered global temperatures by about 0.8C - that is more cooling in one year than the 0.6C attributed to 100 years of global warming. This is the whole issue here - the computer models are wrong because they have not been taking all things into account, as the current real-world temperatures show.

AGW as presented by Al Gore and his supporters is a scam and is deliberately being used to raise taxes and give governments even more powers. What they are doing is talking up a minor "problem" so they can bring in a "cure" that is 100 times worse than the "symptoms" it won't be able to prevent anyway. But people on this forum could do with educating themselves a bit better on the subject, as a lot of the posts here reveal very poor knowledge which makes them look a bit thick to be honest.

As the title says........ my heating is broken and I'm trying Trackers 15 candles to see if I can warm my freezing cold house - i hope he is right!

At the moment all global warming theories fall flat, I'm cold, very cold.

Candles have been lit for about 5 minutes, I don't feel like taking off any layers yet.

Patrish xxxxx

PS Please tell me its not going to get any colder

*Ahem*

http://www.global-warming-and-the-climate.com/ is hardly a credible site, it doesn't cite the data for the graphs and it stops in the mid-80s anyway.

Here's why:
