If you want to be mad at anyone it is those who are currently perpetrating the cycle of violence, and the last time I checked that did not include Obama. He is the president-elect of the United States and NOT the world. As Ron Paul said, the US should mind its own business and stay out of the the business of other nations. If the Israelis and the Palestinians genuinely want to stop the violence and opt for peaceful co-existence, they have the power t do so and they will. Don't tell me you believe in what politicians promise during presidential campaigns. Peace in the middle east was NEVER for Obama to make promises on. Anyone who thinks that he can wave a magic wand and all the problems of the world will disappear needs to think again. He couldn't do that even if he genuinely wanted to, and I think most people here do not believe he does want to change things for the better.

Only Israel and the people of Palestine can resolve this crisis. The best that the new administration can do is withdraw all military aid to Israel. Perhaps that will draw them back to the negotiating table. If Ron Paul had been elected that is exactly what he would have pushed for. No more aid to a terrorist state. With no backing from the US Israel would seriously have to consider a peaceful resolution to the crisis. Still, it would be their choice to make.
