I thought I'd make this thread as a tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time...

Their music and lyrics are so positive and uplifting that I can't help but feel deeply inspired by them. Here are just a few of my favorites:

And I can't forget their early work! Here is a song from their first album, which was released in 1969:

YES!

Time and a Word (2nd album) is beautiful and amazing.
Might be my favorite album ever. :D

Just one song off the album but they are all great.

Fragile and Close to the edge are my favorites. These guys expanded my mind when it came to progressive music.

My friend has Steve Howe as a friend on my space lol. We think it's genuine.

Didn't some of the band members go and form the group 'Asia'?
They are a favorite of mine....

"Owner of a Lonely Heart" was actually my first introduction to Yes; I'd never heard of them before. When that song and video came out, I had Yes pegged as a satanic group. It wasn't until I heard more of their stuff that I realized "Owner" was really out of character for them (thanks largely to the new addition to the band, Trevor Rabin, plus the fact that Jon Anderson had temporarily quit Yes when it was written, so his influence was missing).

by the way, Camel kicks their ass :p

Thanks for mentioning Camel. Never heard of them before, so I went to YouTube and checked them out. Excellent stuff, I must admit.

Legendary guitarist Steve Howe is a member of both Yes and Asia.
