Banoyes tag line. I agree with it 100%. It also echoes one of the tenets of the UGLE "Freemasons strive for truth". And indeed my own "Truth what is a life without it?".

An anti-mason, a masonic Fraternity and a Masonic reject all agreeing!!!!:D

Bayones you are correct, truth is indeed not told. It really is realised. It is the same for each and every one of us. Someone can read, listen, and repeat as much as they like, but until they can bypass your head and open their heart, it is not posisble to understand the sheer significance of the words you write.

Are they your words or a quote from someone else? If they are yours how did you come to realise this? Understanding your journey could help others realise truth.

I find it facinating how your tag line accords so well with one in part of the masonic world.

Stewart,

This is why it is so important to attribute any statement of fact to a credible, reliable and preferably independent source.

I am always sceptical of any statement of "fact" that does not do this, because "truth" is a slippery fish.

I like that!

I realised in my 20s when I lost faith in Christianity and was reading the Torah and Koran for answers that the truth would come to me when conciously seeking and ready for it.

In the end is not truth always a matter of personal belief based upon the credibility of the sum of the available evidence?

If it is a genuine connection with God, no belief or available evidence is necessary..

Well not in my own personal experience, which was all too fleeting by the way. I'm not trying to make out like I have some personal telephone line to the creator either.

And just for the record, I'm not and have never been slightly religious.. Anything but.

Yes, and I've found my truth. My words and thoughts create my reality. It is proved to me daily that I am connected to the universe.

Surely in that case it has to be a belief? You would have thought, but no it is knowledge. (apologies to those who hold religious views that this may upset). You could easily classify it as belief as you cant readily prove it to anyone else, so it is tricky in that respect. Keystone I can tell you without any hesitation of doubt that God created all, not because I read this in the bible and believe it, but because I can feel it. It is like the harmony of life.

Now do I have a direct connection with God, no, well no more that you or the chap next to you on the bus, but I do know that that we all have a flame inside us, a divine teardrop if you like, and once you access that then wow. Guardian Angels well that is a different matter, I think that it would be fair comment to say that I do have a connection with my GA. Again it is a bit like "gut" feelings, easiest way that I can explain it.

Bearing in mind that I am not the religious type (he says currently reading a study edition of the Catholic bible), such knowledge was not something that I ever expected to find. It just sort of happened. Now could I be wrong? Of course I could, I could for example be mad, insane. But it is certainly not a belief, not in the way the word is normally used anyway. It has made my outlook on our world become somewhat interesting though, as I now tend to look at things form the perspective of the world as a whole, almost a top down approach if you like, which combines quite well with my many years of daily work at the coal face trying to make sense of it all.

So what can I say, the Catholic Church are correct that Guardian Angels do exist, sorry Church of England I know from one of your ministers that you have some difficulty with this. There is a downside to knowing though, for a lot of repsonsibility comes with such knowledge. I very much doubt that I am the only person in the world with such knowledge, and history has shown persecution against us by those who believe otherwise. The realy interesting bit is when you start to understand the gods v god debate.
