I find it very hard to visualize things, and it is a skill my intuition tells me i need to aquire, ive tried a couple techniques ive found on the internet with no avail, does anybody here have any suggestions, or has anyone here been in my position where they were unable to visualize and overcame it? Any advice and imput would be greatly appreciated.

you can picture your front door can't you. or the kitchen the fridge
i think a difficulty with visualization and imaging things is that we expect it to be massively detailed which is not the case. for instance you can go shopping for clothes and imagine what you could look like in them or a car picture yourself in a car. or an event in the future a party you can imagine yourself been there, dancing or chatting to people.
i'm assuming your male as it seems to be a male problem. so from that when you masturbate you don't visualise ? :p :)
what i'm saying is you can visualise and when doing creative visualization techniques we tend to think that others have such detailed pictures which isn't the case. you do allready visualise and can create new pictures.
a good technique is to hold your hand infront of you and close your eyes and imagine what it looks like, this may not be perfect but you get it after a while look at the room you are in then close your eyes and picture what it looks like, this is visualising when comfortable with that then you can go onto future events.
maybe others on here have some other techniques aswell

its like i can kind of visualize things, but i dont see them, i can think of my front door, and know what it looks like, but i cannot see it, not in any detail... the closest ive come to is on psycidelics... thats how i first realized its possible.
but thank you for your imput i will try that

well you can see your front door it doesn't have to be like i say in any great detail but you can.
do the other things that i posted.
you can remember your past say when you were on holiday and relive the moments and you can imagine the future. it's ok if you visualise and it's just fluffy or fuzzy. it doesn't need to be photgraphic quality.
