Mass non-co-operation with (any system compliant behaviour) is entirely the way its going to go.

Nice protest on principle this chap John Kelly is doing

This is fantastic news, so im i right in thinking that all Regional Assemblys are illegal bodies that have not been authorized, due to them being unelected assemblies awaiting legitimisation as democratically elected bodies in a referendum. So without democratic legitimacy, their status looks questionable, so technically, it is what accountants call an "insolvent body", to which it is not right to give ratepayers' money.

Go John Kelly!!!! We all need to make a stand like this man and like the people in America who's house is surrounded by feds for refusing to pay tax.
The pendulem is swinging folks, who's for spreading this info and organizing mass marches to Council Houses in every city to peacefully burn our Council Tax Bills.

The worm is turning folks. Lets Do It

When i left school in 1990 it was right in the middle of the poll
tax riots, and as an impressionable 16 year old i thought/ this
is what life was about fighting for justice over something
as obscene as that tax!!!! that was people power at its best.
But fast forward 17 YEARS!!!!(shit wheres time gone!!)
Most young people have never lived in that world they keep
being told by the media that we have never had it better
that was the bad old days and theres no need to fight for anything
like that anymore yes its a horrible world theres wars and stuff.
But everythings alright at home.
In my opinion the council tax is just as sick and it
absolutly must have a NON PAYMENT PROTEST.
But sometimes you hear in the news of people not getting
jobs positions of power etc because people have found out
they were anti animal testing activists and things.
So my point is i pay my council tax cos luckily i can just aford
it and by not APEARING to be a rebel i dont stand out to the
Iluminati thus enabeling me to covertly kick the bastards right
up the arse. at one time i didnt pay it for 2 years ive had 10 baliffs
outside my house for 8 hours many times but still i wouldnt give in
untill a family member paid it AGAINST MY WILL. And with those
experiences i have alot of usefull info how 2 beat the bastards.
But i think the goverment might expect people 2 copy the poll
tax type protests so i think it should be done differently?
But at the same time as the poll tax we had acid house (those were the days)
and they tried to crush that.. and i remeber thinking at the time ....
The american gov tried to ban Elvis and rock and roll and failed
So why? are u trying it with the acid house scene dont u learn off history?
and to there peril they didnt. So maybe it would be worth repeating the poll tax days.......

Good luck guys!

..and the Council Tax doesn't even include your lawn clippings.

Now ministers plan to levy a £50 tax on your lawn clippings

Millions of homeowners face a new "garden tax" that will make them pay for the first time to get rid of their grass cuttings.

Ministers are encouraging councils to charge families £50 a year to take away lawn clippings, leaves and prunings as part of the Government’s plans to force households to recycle more of their rubbish.

Documents drawn up for ministers say that homeowners need to compost far more of their garden waste, but few are willing to do this so they need to be encouraged by incentives or penalties.

The best way to force more composting is to impose charges for collecting garden clippings, councils have been told.

At the moment this costs around £50 per householder every year – which is likely to be the amount of the new tax.

Charges for removing garden waste mean that not one but three new rubbish taxes will come in as part of the Government’s "waste strategy".

First, homes that put out more than a strict quota of household rubbish that cannot be recycled will be made to pay a charge.

Then families who take their waste to the local municipal tip will be charged for it under new laws proposed by Environment Secretary David Miliband.

Now, on top of this, pressure for a garden tax means people who do not compost their cuttings will face charges too.

Around 75 councils already impose some form of charge for collecting garden waste.

However, they do so by asking householders to pay for bags or a garden waste bin, rather than by imposing a weekly charge or billing by weight.

Another 270 authorities which collect rubbish have no charges for garden waste. But these councils have now been told that if they wish to keep their garden collection service free, they will have to absorb heavy costs or pile them on to council tax bills. Council tax protesters and campaigners against the scrapping of weekly bin collections responded with fury to the new garden tax plans.

Doretta Cocks of the Campaign for Weekly Waste Collection said: "This is another loss of service for council tax payers. All those people who have a free garden waste collection are likely to lose it.

"Of course, like rising council tax bills, this will hit the elderly. It will have the biggest impact in suburbs and the countryside, and the target will be middle-class people. This Government never ceases to amaze me."

Christine Melsom of the Is It Fair? council tax protest group said: "This is another example of the search for new ways to make people pay more taxes. They are looking at every corner to find new things to tax. Clearly, there is an effort to scrape at every possibility to make people pay."

Mr Miliband announced his new "waste strategy" last month in the wake of the local elections that saw voters punish councillors and parties which imposed fortnightly rubbish collections in place of weekly bin pickups.

The Daily Mail’s Great Bin Revolt campaign highlighted how a third of the population has been denied the weekly rubbish collections that have been established for more than 130 years.

A report by the Eunomia Consultancy carried out for Mr Miliband’s waste recycling agency, the Waste and Resources Action Programme, found that the typical English garden produces 8lb of grass cuttings per square yard every year.

Pruning trees and bushes and sweeping up leaves produces the same amount again.

I've recently thought that Council Tax and Income Tax is a form of protection racket. You give money under pain of imprisonment and in return you are given refuge by the government. Done by gangsters it is illegal. This is always a hard argument to get across to people as they always say 'how will you pay for the NHS, police etc?', so it is difficult to answer without explaining fractional reserve banking and national debt (which is what our income tax pays for).

Over Xmas last year I was unemployed and had to claim Housing Benefit. The amount of info they wanted was amazing. Every financail detail about my life was needed and it was very intrusive indeed. I got a job though and soon recieved my C Tax bill which contained only a very basic breakdown of how they spend the money so I thought I'd write out an application form for them to fill in. Sorry it got a bit too long:

Part C. You’re rights to benefit in the form of taxation

This is your opportunity to justify your claim in a democratic system. Every household in your district/borough will be required to submit a proportion of earnings/income to support your organisation in return for various services. This could be deemed an unfair monopoly as the electorate has little or no choice in the service provider. This is why I ask for such a detailed analysis into your organisation with respect to your demand for benefit. It is necessary that you provide details of a clearly economic best cost provisional statement that proves you justify the demand to each household.

In no more then 500 words please explain why your organisation is the best option that residents in your district/borough can expect. You must use terms that everyone can understand and be able to back it up with presentable facts and figures.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____________________________________
Part D. Proof of existence

I now require proof of your Council’s existence. This will mean your Chief Executive Officer or equivalent (Head of Council, Managing Director, strictly no Non-Executive Directors) having to attend an interview with a carefully selected panel of local residents to provide proof that the Council exists and requires benefits.

Forms of ID which must be produced at the interview:

From Attendee: (three from the following), Passport, National Identity Card, Birth Certificate, Utility Bill, Council Tax demand statement, Housing Benefit statement, P45, Bank statement(s), Driving Licence (full), Marriage/Civil Partnership Certificate, HM Forces ID card, Tesco Clubcard, five months payslips, or acceptable equivalents.

Also, any attendees must submit biometric details including: fingerprints, facial recognition, iris scans, DNA swabs (to be incorporated onto a national database).

The interview will last no more then 3 hours and be conducted in a neutral location outside the district/borough which will be no more then 20 miles from the council’s incumbent residence.

Please frank the following space with your receipt of acknowledgement

Thank you for taking the time to complete your claim. All local residents need assurances that their ‘demands’ are accurate and based on sound financial prudence. It is only right that such systems are in place to ensure correct and proper procedures ensue with concerns to people’s hard earned money.

Please read following appendices.

Appendix i. On receipt of your claim.

You will be informed once the claim for benefit has been received. It could take up to six weeks before you receive confirmation of any benefit to be paid, which will of course be backdated to the day the claim was received. If you wish to have your claim backdated to before the application was acknowledged please explain why below.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____________________________________________

Appendix ii. Payment of benefit.

All benefit will be paid monthly, in arrears, to the Council’s Bank Account via cheque or standing order.

Appendix iii. Change of circumstances.

Any change of circumstances on behalf of the Council during the course of the claim must be presented in writing via a local media source, preferably written press. You will then receive a short application form to amend any details.

Changes of Circumstances include:

Increase in income

Change of address

Change of Chief Executive Officer

Staff redundancies

Boundary changes

Contractor charges

Change of payment details
Appendix iv. Expected amount of benefit.

All benefit is calculated on a pro rata basis. All dividends are assumed, apart from a 15% disregard, and short term annuities are taken into account.

Example:

Council receipts = x

Council expenditure = y

x – y = surplus/negative

Disregard 15% of surplus and if a negative is drawn upon then a proportion of benefit will be paid divided by each eligible residency to make up short fall of required amount. Remember the community may not be able to pay the full required amount depending on circumstances. If the Council requires a said amount but the claim does not support this then the community will decide upon the required amount and pay no more.

Important things to remember when filling your claim:

Justify everything, be honest, be open.

Thank you in advance for you cooperation on this matter.

Organise street parties with muso's, artists, speakers, bbq's, families and children having a fun time and exchanging information. Your already on a file somewhere so just come out and speak up, they aint shit without your consent. The system of control only works because people censor and police themselves.

That's why there are cctv cameras everywhere, to intimidate people. There are more of you than there are bailifs and chances are a lot of the bailifs won't like the tax either, but they won't rebel until they see everyone else speak out about it.

Good stuff beetzart, the system can't handle people who are creative, it relies on people acting like robots.
