So my friends brother has told me before of this reoccurring dream he has. He has dreamt it dozens of times but each time is different. Its like this, the setting is a city, he gets the impression its suppose to be NYC but its not. Every time he dreams its from a different perspective and he has seen the city from different parts inside and outside of it. He comes into contact we reoccurring people and so forth. To make things stranger, his brother and my friend just told me today that he has had 5 dreams so far about this city and while explaining it to his brother they realized it was the same exact city down to the last detail, details about colors, shapes, size and placement of buildings. its the same exact place. The elder brother is in his 30s and my friend is 20. What could this possibly mean?

Briefly, the dream state is a doorway to other planes that are tangible and real though unaccesible in the waking state usualy because they are on a more subtel vibration than our physical bodies. Many people goto these 'dream' cities/towns though usualy you won't remember it when you are awake. I'll write more about this tommorow and my own experiences as i'm really, really tired and can't concerntrate very well.

Although it appears our world is real and dreamworld is illusionary it's actualy the other way round from these dreamworlds this waking state is a dreamworld and illusionary. Also in the dreamworld is where your blueprint for the future/fate is 'mapped' out. Very hard to go into details because we're getting into multi-dimensions. Put simply the 3d world we experince in our waking state is a hologram that emanates from another level of consciousness that we're usualy only aware of in our sleep.

My brother has started having some interesting dreams. Normally he's very down to earth but suddenly started babbling about being in a chair with a woman trying to control him. He eventually struggles up and says 'You don't control me' to which she responded, 'No, I have never controlled you'.
The following day it was as if this dream picked up again and after escaping the woman he comes across some sort of ticket barrier. The gatekeeper is adamant he cannot go through as he doesn't have the right 'key'.
So currently he's arguing with this new bloke, but strangely seems to think the key is connected with the woman.
So now he's trying to get this lucid dream thing going as when escaping the woman he knew for the first time he was in a dream.
Seems weird to me as I know him and it's not normal conversation.

Interesting. Dreams often communicate through symbolism. I can't really say what the women and chair is suppose to mean because I don't know your brother and often the symbolism used will often be subjective.
For example I often have dreams where I discover that I have 20-30 cats in my house and they all need feeding and i'm worryied that i've let them breed out of control and I can't don't have enough food to feed them. Usualy when this happens my thoughts will be out of control all day and of a low vibration, desiring for marterial goods or getting angry about someone/something and they'll drain me of energy.
I've since learned that for me cats in my dream seem to symbolise thoughtforms of a carnal nature. In the physical world it's very hard to train/control a cat so symbolicly it means that my thoughts will be very hard to tame that day and of a self serving nature.
Other times I'll dream I have a single cat and it's clamly sat there drinking milk from a dish. On those days my thoughts will be very calm and often silent.
Another thing I dream sometimes is that I poesess the ability to levitate and do telekinesis and I often become aware i'm in a dreamstate, essentialy lucid dreaming. Whenever this happens the next day I know I'll end up doing several plus hours of meditation for much of the day. There's a direct link between me going through a marathon long meditation in my waking state and being able to levitate/tk and become conscious in my dreamstate. Sometimes the dreamstate comes first in that i'll levitate in my dreams then the next day I have the willpower to sit for 5-6 hours just meditating, other times I meditate then that night I'll be free and able to levitate in the dreamworld that night.
Your brother needs to look what symbols mean to him and that's how you translate your dreams. I'd say that the gatekeeper and not having the right key is almost something to do with him needing to change something in himself and he won't be able to progress either consiously or materialy until he makes the necesary changes. When he does he'll find in the dream he has the key and the gatekeeper will let him through and he'll see some significant changes in his life.

LOL as much as I don't like to admit it I suppose I can be quite obsessive about some things. I've never really realised that that many cats could symbolise an obsession. Thanks for your insights cruise4 :)

I love to dream. I'm always very sad when I wake up from a really intriguing dream. I wish I could lucid dream. I get so close in my dreams, but never get quite there. :p

Schools/universaties represent learning. I'd say the old parts and not being allowed in represents something to do with learning, or maybe that you'r not learning some sort of universal or timeless lessons.
Although I'm 32 I still sometimes have dreams where i'm in school and it's the end of the year. I've done no coursework and no homework and I know i'm going not going to pass my tests/exams and I've wasted a whole year of my life. These dreams usualy coincide with me falling off the rails in some way or not changing old patterns of behaviour or outlooks.
